I like both and think both have great moments and boring arcs. (Important note: I'm talking about mangas. From what I know, both animes kinda suck.)
I'd say the best moments in Hx H are better than the best moments in One Piece, but the quality of One Piece is way more consistent.
It's like: when opening a new Hx H chapter, I can expect either one of the best chapters of anything ever or a boring chapter full of walls of text where nothing goes anywere. When opening a new One Piece chapter, I'm sure it will be entertaining and it may even be very good.
Whoa son excuse me but did you just imply that Hx H anime sucks?
No.
Nooo.
You are absolutely wrong.
The only Hx H anime that sucks is Greed Island OVA which yeah has some really shoddy animation.
But the 99 version was great, the madhouse version is great, and okay maybe the movies suck yeah, those I'll give you.
I'd say they're better than the manga in some ways since the art is consistent and well animated for the most part.
The Hell Hunter X Hunter has way more then 70 good episodes. It also has pretty good pacing and I never found a single arc in the show to have arc fatigue.
Also Hunter X Hunter the new series did not have any filler. Also everyone who died stays dead in Hunter there has only been one kinda exception. (Same with One Piece Brook died and came back.)

I'm going to be honest: I have no idea why this thread exists.
First off, why One Piece and Hunter X Hunter, exactly? Sure, they're both high-selling Shonen Jump series, but they really don't have much else in common beyond that. Comparing them just feels.....arbitrary.
But then we get to the plot summaries, where you actually mention some of the fantastical stuff in OP but dumb down HXH to make it sound like two twerps hiking off to school. If it weren't for the additional points I'd call this a bash thread just because of the disconnect.

i didnt try to do that. I tried to make both sound dumb but i kind of failed. seriously, how do you make One Piece sound dumb? For example there's no better way to describe Thriller Bark than fighting zombies.
And sorry, half of a series being one arc is way more than enough for me to count as Arc Fatigue. Imagine if One Piece stayed on Dressrosa for 700 chapters.
But anyway i'm a person and i am subjective. I found about half of the epiodes of Hx H to be good. The rest were either chimera ant bs, hunter exam bs, heaven area bs or greed island bs.
funnily enough it did. 2 recap filler episodes to be exact
I find it funny how criticising One Piece is the norm, but HOW DARE YOU SAY SOMETHING BAD ABOUT Hx H or BNHA YOU OBVIOUSLY DIDNT WATCH IT (when i did).

This "new era" they talk about is a load of shit. The age where pirates dream is over!? THE DREAMS OF MEN NEVER END! AM I RIGHT? -Big BadTo be fair, id did seem like you were trying to dumbify Hx H way more than One Piece, intended or not...
About the Hx H anime, you guys are probably right. I just tend to like mangas way more than animes in general (do you use an "s" to make the plural of "manga" and "anime"? Honestly curious, English is not my first language).
ok let me try again:
One Piece is an anime about nine people of various ages who visit islands and have activities such as: eating at restaurants, fighting fish, punchin whales in the eye, walking in a desert, exploring a jungle, burning flags, fighting *more* fish and running.
Better?
Both anime and animes are correct.

H: Hunter x Hunter
O: One Piece
The plot is:
Number of Episodes:
Number of Good Episodes:
Number of Fillers:
Did the show need fillers in the first place?
Number of Episodes which could've easily been fillers:
Are there ass pulls?
Are there plot holes?
Do people die when they are killed?
Do people actually die?
Does the show suffer from arc fatigue?
Pacing:
Animation:
Music:
Median Episode:
Is the plot interesting?
Are the characters interesting?
Does it rely on shock factor?
Is the show progressive when is comes to feminism and related issues?
Is the manga ongoing?
Will it end in your lifetime?
Should you watch it?
