Tembo the Badass Elephant (the new game from Game Freak and Sega)

Coming to Xbox One, Play Station 4 and PC this summer, Tembo the Badass Elephant is a Donkey Kong Country esque platformer about an Elephant who happens to be a badass who wrecks shit.

I'll say this, I'm really surprised this isn't coming to any Nintendo platforms at all. I mean, I'm not a huge Nintendo fan so I don't really care all that much about platforms anyways but I'd have to imagine the Pokemon fans would be a bit pissed at this. Besides, I think it looks pretty neat tbh

Honestly I don't even think its that (there's a game on the Wii U with "bastards" in the name.) It probably comes down to Nintendo deciding to pass on the game for being too similar to some of their own stuff (again, it's very reminiscent of Donkey Kong Country which could have to do with Nintendo deciding to pass), and then Sega just doesn't wanna bother with the Wii U, especially after the 3 game Sonic deal they had with Nintendo blew up in their face. Or maybe they just didn't think people would be interested (seriously, you'd think a thread on a new IP from the Pokemon developers would have more than 2 replies considering how Pokemon is a juggernaut overall the reception has been fairly chilly to be honest.)

It's a Unity game (James Turner, the project lead mentioned Unity when talking about the development) and Unity games are pretty easy to port from platform to platform (especially 2D games, where you don't really have to worry about certain platforms not supporting render features or not.)

On another website we had a discussion about it and we thought they didn't want to compete with all the quality games that are in a similar genre on the Wii U.
