The current is in Keep Until Better Image Suggested territory, but I'd definitely prefer something that shows the whole characters.
I like the Bugs Bunny one.
The first of Sandy's images works.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanBoth work, but I'd have to give 3.1 an edge over 3.2.
Check out my fanfiction!3.1 > 3.2
"Women not wearing pants would be a little looney."
That's witty.
I think 3.1 is best. Also, 3.2 has a copyright bug on it.
Absent-minded professor and Neverwinter Nights DMThat's just the artist's link...if we used that one, the artist would be credited anyway so it's not a big deal.
The artist can't copyright Warner Brothers' characters.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.for 3.1
You mean they can't trademark the characters. Copyright works differently. If you create something based on someone else's character, then both you and the original creator have a copyright stake in the work.
I'm not a copyright lawyer so I can't give you the ins and outs of the situation, but the above is the basic idea.

Absent-minded professor and Neverwinter Nights DMIsn't it technically illegal to use someone else's copyrighted material like that?
Check out my fanfiction!^^ No, it's sort of not okay to use someone else's characters at all, but since the deviant artist isn't making money off it they generally get left alone. Making it so others can't create things based on your intellectual property without permission is the whole point of copyright law.
^ Yeah.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Technically, yes.
You're right in that officially and legally, you're not supposed to use someone else's characters without permission under copyright law, but that doesn't prevent you from obtaining a copyright over your work depicting the copyrighted character(s). It just doesn't override the original copyright, and the original copyright owner has the right to force you to remove your depiction from public view.
I did say it was complicated and that I'm not a copyright lawyer, so that's probably the best I can do at trying to explain the tangled web which is copyright law.
Absent-minded professor and Neverwinter Nights DMYes it does prevent you, that part isn't complicated.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Bump. It looks like we've got enough consensus for the Buster/Babs pic; can someone please upload and add it? Thanks in advance.
Up, potholed and tagged.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanCool. I like The Pope's caption idea in 8; anyone else?
That works.
Check out my fanfiction!I added it to the page but didn't change the tag to show thread approval since there's not enough consensus. Locking up.
Only discusses it, plus it doesn't even show them below the waist; for all we know, she's pantless. It doesn't have to be just pants missing on the guy (if you want to make sure it's just about clothing in general), but it should at least show their full bodies.
Maybe pair the naked-except-shoes-and-gloves Sonic next to the fully-dressed Amy?
