Maybe I should try the game again, but the game still feels a major step backward from Tenkaichi.
Something that amuses me is that the power boost Towa provides usually varies from what is convenient for the plot.
Sometimes the difference is so small that the same hero who defeated him originally can continue to beat him, although now with the help of the Patroller, and other times it is so great that the villain can face a hero from several sub-arcs later.

Due to the fact that it's not really a "fighter"...that doesn't really matter.
This may be a minor complaint, but I find the height for female characters to be too restrictive.
Even with a Height of 4, a character will be as tall as Trunks. So if you want to create a Statuesque Stunner it will be impossible.

Whatever your feeling may be towards Dragon Ball games in general, it isn't ok to just throw out a mediocre Dragon Ball game & call it day. I still haven't played the game again & I don't hold Tenkaichi as high as a lot of people do, but the fact of the matter is I didn't enjoy playing Xenoverse anywhere as I did with the Tenkaichi series. It was a slog to go through the game. I didn't play every Dragon Ball game in existence but when it came to DB games I never felt that way until Xenoverse.
Despite being an original idea, the story is unbelievably boring, customization is lacking, & the voice acting is dull. I know there weren't given any context for the voice acting but no one really sounds like they want to be there. There's clearly no passion for the Xenoverse series. I'm hoping that the latest DLC has addressed one of those issues because it's pretty shocking the game is still being supported for over 5 years.
Xenoverse doesn't have to be good as Fighterz or anything, but it should still be fun to play at the end of the day.

Because Xenoverse isn't a fighter, what Tenkaichi 3 has that it doesn't...doesn't matter.
Their focus is in different areas, if you're just saying it's not as good in the general sense, then I don't have much to say to that.
It could be better...I guess, but it's already enjoyable.

Great, I'm sure that's one of the main reasons why the game is still being supported for over 5 years when have people can unironically enjoy it. Maybe lead with that next time.

No? Saying a game is "a step backward from" another game when the two are in completely different genres is nonsensical. Apples to oranges.

Or, y'know, it's just not a fighting game. It's kind of an Arena Fighter, maybe in a vague way, with RPG elements and an MMO-lite postgame.
