[up][up] Oh sorry, it was presented sort of as a joke, so I assumed it was ok.

I mean, it is definitely a joke, but that doesn't mean it's not true. The real question is, who is she a spy for?

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.

Man. I sure do wish I had Disney XD. Its too bad this perfectly viable Disney Channel has no sign of this. Oh well.

Vultures: Revenues are down in international Markets, Dawson, Lillyhammer?, and El Dorado and Collabra?....

Is this implying anything, or is this just the ups and downs of "business"? And are these references to anything? I know El Dorado is, but is there any others?

My board are the only people cheaper than I am. I trust them Completely to make good financial decisions

And does anyone else not trust those vultures?

I found another reference: Webby finds a Topographical map of Plain Awful in the library.

[down] I got a kick out of that too!

More of Scrooge being nice to gyro. He even encourages him when the vultures rudely turn him down, and doesn't take offense when he starts ranting, only reminding him not to say it in front of the vultures. He even insists that he is completely necessary to the Money Bin, even when most of his inventions tend to go haywire, or are impractical or something. I wonder if there's more to the story that we're not seeing here.

I don't think the vultures are supposed to be malicious. They're just cranky board members doing their jobs.

Good episodes overall.

[up] I expect one or more of them to become malicious, but they don't seem malicious right now.

Plot Twist: It'll look like they're set up to be villains, but they're completely innocent instead.

[up]If not villains, then at least toxic to Scrooge. If you look at what they want to cut in the first episode, (historical research, experimental tech, etc), they are all things that this Scrooge would normally be passionate about. They push him to get rid of the things he cares about, and the "expecting them to make good financial decisions because they are even cheaper than me" comment, just doesn't sit right with me.

Alright, finally watched them. Awesome episodes, especially the second one, though I do have some questions.

The theory that Della is Magica is one I'm starting to think is gonna wind up being either the "Stan has a twin" of the fandom or the "Rose Quartz is Pink Diamond" of the fandom. Personally though, I kinda thought the librarian might've been Magica, if that makes any sense Other question is just what is Gyro planning at the end? It felt sinister but Gyro's never been a sinister figure, and I forgot the name of whatever he'd written down on his notebook.

What he wrote down was "Project Blatherskite".

[up][up][up]I don't get either of those references.

As for Gyro, it's a reference to Gizmoduck.

Alright, lemme explain: the former theory I mentioned was this one huge theory the Gravity Falls fandom speculated on for about a year that turned out to be right, the latter theory was one the Steven Universe fandom speculated on for about a year that turned out to be wrong. Basically big theories people speculated and discussed for a while before being proven or dismissed.

Now how does this refer to Gizmoduck, exactly? I barely remember much of the original Ducktales.

Basically, Blatherskite was the trigger word for the armor to get on its wearer, which I think was picked because nobody would be stupid or weird enough to say something like that. And then comes Fenton Crackshell, whose catchphrase is that...

[up][up][nja] It is the codeword that activates the Gizmo suit in the original Duck Tales. In the original Gyro looks it up in a dictonary because he thinks it as too obscure to be uttered accidentally but Fenton and his mom use it at their regular cuss word so he ends up activating it. Interestingly in the new Ducktales Gizmo utters the phrase himself already,

So was anyone struck by the incredible lengths Scrooge went to to cover up whatever happened to Della? Even that newspaper that you can see on the ground in Scrooge's mansion from the first episode "McDuck hangs up Spats after..." has the rest of the headline ripped off, which means that at one point it must have been at least local news, but Scrooge has done such a good job getting rid of any records that whatever happened to make Scrooge give up adventuring must only rumors by now. Not even Webby could find anything. He only has one painting of her in his Mansion, which is ripped and shoved in his garage, and Donald has one photo of her as well. That's it. He keeps the rest in a secret room that can only be accessed by a blood family member

[up] What did Donald mean exactly when he said

"This is the Spear of Selene all over again"

At first, it seemed like he was referring to the situation or Scrooge's greed, but here it's revealed that Della took the Spear of Selene, which complicates things. What does that mean I wonder.

Sling.tv still doesn't have "Daytrip of Doom" in its archives, I cannot see Disney XD load on the app, nothing loads when I try to watch it on the Disney XD site, and no online streaming sites have the episode. Looks like I'll have to catch it later.
