Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundI am the thinly-veiled plea for a spin-off!

This song needs more love.I am the cameo that made you give in and give the show a chance!
" I'm the princess! Everyone has to do what I say!"How quickly do you think Jim Cummings said yes, when they called him asking if he wanted to reprise Darkwing Duck in an upcoming reboot of Ducktales?

I assume he just picked up the phone and, without waiting for them to say anything, simply said "it's about time."
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I'm surprised Jim is still doing voice work today. The fact that he's voicing Darkwing Duck while also having time to voice Boxman in OK KO is pretty rad.
Uh...no pun intended.
" I'm the princess! Everyone has to do what I say!"Professional Voice actors tend to have very long careers. As long as you can still do your voices, which he obviously still can, nothing else really matters that much.
And speaking of that...

Exactly. This can even apply to actors who usually specialize in live-action. Big Finish makes a SHITTON of audio dramas for a number of different properties, mostly Doctor Who, and it uses the original actors when it can. So as a result, you have actors in their 70's and 80's voicing characters they first started playing 30 or even 40 years ago. 50 years ago in a few cases. As long you still sound the part, it doesn't matter whether or not you're 30 or 130.
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundHoly shit, Jim Cummings is Pooh. That is some serious vocal range.
My ear for his voice began with discerning the difference between Cummings Pooh and Holloway Pooh, and building out from there to the point where I can tell he's singing the hard parts of Be Prepared for Jeremy Irons and In The Dark Of The Night for Christopher Lloyd.
Oh, and he took over Tigger for Paul Winchell, I think in the early 2000s, but I think there was a period where who voiced Tigger depended on how much money there was or how healthy Winchell was when they needed to record. If they hadn't connected with Craig Ferguson, Cummings would probably be the voice of Owl now too.

Fresh-eyed movie blogThere's even this video from a convention at a Darkwing Duck reunion panel where he walks on stage in character as Darkwing, and doesn't let it up for nearly 7 minutes. He really gets into it, and the moderator and the other guests on the panel can barely keep a straight face. (although he does accidentally slip into Negaduck for a second at 5:19.)

What a man...
" I'm the princess! Everyone has to do what I say!"So, I wonder if the Spear of Selene would tie into its namesake. A spear with the power to induce sleep would be an interesting Artifact of Doom
He's a voice acting legend, who should get his own Hollywood star.
I wanna have a beer with him.
" I'm the princess! Everyone has to do what I say!"
I would want to talk about how he brought so much joy to my childhood.
So I'm not sure if anyone's asked this yet, but how long would it take to watch the entirety of the original DuckTales and Darkwing Duck?
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢A while.
" I'm the princess! Everyone has to do what I say!"The Original Ducktales had 100 episodes each 22 minutes long, Darkwing has 91 each also 22 minutes long.
That makes 191 x 22 minutes = 4202 minutes ~ 70 hours.
So about 3 days.

If you binge it of course.
" I'm the princess! Everyone has to do what I say!"What about Webby and Goselyn? I feel like they would immediately hit it off, and just imagine the kind of trouble they would get into together. But who would make a good Goselyn, I wonder?

I wanna say Cree Summer?
" I'm the princess! Everyone has to do what I say!"I grew up with the Dutch dub of Darkwing Duck (which was very good, by the way), so hearing Jim doing his voice for the first time was kinda weird and took some getting used to, mostly because its higher and squeakier.
This happened with Spongebob and Timmy Turner too, incidentally. High pitched English voice, normal dub voice. Maybe its the difference in vocal range.
Optimism is a duty.
I am the Unexpected character that crashes your reboot!
