I thought of an idea for which Ninja Gaiden characters could appear in Dead or Alive 6; The Malice Four from the first game.
For those who don't know, the Malice Four were four villains who were hired by Jaquio, the main antagonist of the first two games, and served as some of the first game's bosses.
The Barbarian is a hulking assassin from Brazil, and is more infamously known as "The Executioner of South America".
Bomberhead fell into a life of crime after being abandoned as a child, leading him to become "New York's Lord of Evil". He's the second-in-command of the Malice Four.
Basaquer was a member of "The Five Ranges of Doom", a Chinese organization for assassins, but was kicked out for his sadistic methods.
And finally, Bloody Malth is the leader of the Malice Four. He is known as both "The Iron Mask of Blood" and "The Shield of Death", and he once beat Ryu's father, Jô Hayabusa, in combat.
So, what do you guys think? Is this an interesting idea, or am I being silly?
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.I’m legit surprised they never did anything with the NES era characters. Even Irene’s presence was sort of a retcon.
My question is how good would those characters look with Jiggle Physics?
Because I'm pretty sure that's the only qualification for being in a Dead or Alive game.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I figure that it's because Ryu Hayabusa is the one Ninja Gaiden character everybody recognizes, so he's the one who gets the best treatment in terms of representation.
I would like to see Irene Law make it in as a playable character. The idea that I had was that 6 could have 14 new characters, with five of them being Irene and the Malice Four.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.I just found this and I think I have to watch this film now.
Actually now I'm curious about something; Ryu Hayabusa, Momiji and Rachel have already made it into the series, we all want Irene Law to make it in, and I've already talked about the Malice Four, but which other Ninja Gaiden characters would you guys like to see appear in Dead or Alive in the future?
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Spider Clan leader dude?
I forgotten a lot of NG characters
I looked that name up and got Supreme Ninja Overlord Genshin of the Black Spider Ninja Clan. You mean him?
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Yeah that dude
But he dead so
didn't stop Raidou
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Welp Cyborg Genshin away
Well, that wasn’t a long hiatus at all
Love the close-up hits and the fact that they’re incorporating Ryu’s ninpo in combat (maybe his sword too)?
Three questions:
- Who is Ryu fighting against?
- What could possibly be the plot this time? DOATEC should be Deader than Dead by the end of DOA5, right?
- Why is Kasumi wearing a bodysuit? Or could she be yet another Kasumi clone? (Seriously, DOATEC, what's with the obsession with Kasumi for your "perfect warrior" projects? Why not try doing that with, say, Ayane or Ryu for a change? )
Apparently they're trying to cut down on the fan service and are going for a grittier, more realistic approach at least in terms of visual fidelity.
They said the same thing but the first of those for 5 though, so we'll see.
Fitting - Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, Tekken (though I suppose that never really died and didn't need a reboot), Street Fighter (same thing), Soul Calibur, and now Dead or Alive (thought it's probably not a reboot]].
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Street Fighter definitely died after III, though its return just made it more cartoon-y than anything else. Everybody else went the darker and edgier route, though, yeah. I guess that's just where the industry's going.
IGN had their explanation on the new designs.
“We wanted to make a more cool and mature Dead or Alive this time, and to that end we made a conscious decision to make the characters less sexualized,” Shimbori told IGN.
It goes without saying that this decision is heavily influenced by the fact that the industry is moving away from overtly sexualized female characters in general, but Team Ninja seems to have a concrete vision behind this shift in style. If you look at the game’s concept art, you can see that Kasumi is no longer just a fantasy figure for young boys; she’s a warrior."
I think that's Hayate. Would be nice if this game actually shows him as equal to Ryu.
Evil corporations never die. Look at Umbrella from Resident Evil.
Likely because Ayane and Ryu have avoided capture and they only have Kasumi's DNA on hand.
You know things changed when the trailer focuses on male fighters almost all the time.
Also, I think it will be just as "half-made" as DoA5 was. I mean, seriously. Tons of Capcom Sequel Stagnation and no Arcade Mode.
Oh, and enough DLC to be worth 30 times the game's vanilla price.

Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...Just what the fuck????
Is that really happening? A 3D fighting game with an auto combo system?
It's official, the fighting game industry has rotted.

Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...Using your opinion as fact comes across as irrational, don't you think?
Watch SymphogearI also don't know how that indicates it's rotted.
Well Team Ninja hasn't exactly clarified what they meant (the wording is very odd), they do care about the series, as seen on their twitter feed they celebrated Christie's birthday.
