Anyone play Frozen Cortex (previously known as Frozen Endzone)? It just came out of early access and is on sale on Steam, so I picked it up and have been having a blast with it so far.

As a tl;dr, Frozen Cortex is basically a cross between American football and ultimate frisbee played by robots. Turns are executed simultaneously, which makes for a constant I Know You Know I Know feeling during the planning stage—and besides the pitch generation, there are no dice rolls so you actually have to plan perfectly instead of hoping for some luck. Though that's fine since you have as much time as you want to simulate you and your opponent's moves.

If you play or pick it up, hit me up. I am ch00beh. I am very easy to find on the internet.

Came in expecting a sequel to Frozen Synapse, and found a different game that happens to play like Frozen Synapse. Huh.

so I like sports, but one of the dev videos pointed out what I like about them. It's not just about taking out all your opponents like in Frozen Synapse or any other team based death match, and it's not just about achieving your own goal while stopping your opponents's like capture the flag; it's about wresting control over a shared, dynamic object (the ball) and using it to advance yourself.

It causes a concentration of action in a single space while those not engaged in the action position themselves to both maximize and mitigate damage, depending on what happens to the ball in the next few moments.
