WTF is a "literasite"

The song "All The Way" by New Order has the line "parasites and literasites, they'd burn me if they can" I have always wondered what that meant. It isn't on dictionary.com and searching on Google only turns up references to the song.

A pretentious art school type, maybe? In other words, a Hipster, before the term was used for that kinda person? Or a plagiarist (i.e. a literary/literature parasite)? Dunno, good question though...
