amiibos!: or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Give Nintendo My Money

If nothing else, we are getting the four new Kirby amiibo (to go along with Kirby: Planet Robobot) pretty soon (I'm looking forward to finally getting Meta Knight, and my kid will love having another King Dedede). So I think we still have more amiibo to come.

Those amiibo have showed up randomly at the store near me.

Meta Knight, Kirby, Waddle Dee are available. Oh, and DDD with a Hold It! pose. Looks amusing with those boxing gloves...

I dont think I will be getting any for now though.

I'm going to have to stop by gamestop, then, and see if I can pick up a Kirby for my little bro.

Funny that you ask that. They're actually coming out in Japan tomorrow. You can import them if you like.

It depends on the region. Kirby: Planet Robobot comes out tomorrow in Japan, so either those amiibo are already on shelves or will be widely tomorrow (and there's always someone who breaks street date). The North American release of those amiibo is supposed to be June 10 (same as the game).

oh okay, gotcha.

I live in the Philippines, BTW. I usually see Japan import amiibos on shelves instead of English ones.

But what do they do?

I mean, from the looks of it, personal faux splatfest?

Still cool though.

And good call on the regualr squid stuff reprints being in different colours. Personally not gonna bother with them since I have the first run trio, but it might be nie for people who skipped the first run and like these colours more.

I dig the purple inkling though... might get that.

It looks like the Squid sisters amiibo might unlock new music in game. Not sure what else. It's also possible that the recolored trio might have new missions.

I need to find a new Ganondorf and Inkling boy; they, along with Zamus, went missing during a recent move. I've managed to find a new Zamus already, but my Legend of Midna: Dark Souls run just got put on hold.

The squid sisters amiibos look great(Even though I don't really care for those two characters that much. Yes yes I know, heresy and all that jazz), but man that's a pretty weak feature. Then again, I imagine that it's probably hard to come up with a way to use Amiibos that would appeal to the audiences. Mario Maker so far has probably has been the game that's used Amiibos the best.

I honestly expected a new weapon and outfit out of both squid sisters, but oh well?

Since you mentioned Mario Maker, huh? Hmm... playable squid sisters...

I'd be surprise if they didn't make the Squid Sisters costumes for SMM.

More new amiibo

I need this.

It looks like the Breath of the Wild amiibo have the same base as Wolf Link. They must all be part of a single Zelda line.

Preorders for the new Super Mario amiibo are up.

About time they gave us Mario wave 2.

I'll definitely be getting Waluigi at least.

If I want the Rosalina one I'd get the Smash version.

Although I want to know when we'll get Cloud, Corrin, and Bayonetta.

So apparently Boo glows in the dark.

Boo is a weird choice for an amiibo, though. Why throw in a generic enemy along with major characters?

We have a new Diddy Kong now, so that leaves Bowser Jr. and Dr. Mario as the only two Smash characters in the Marioverse without Super Mario counterparts.
