The teasers are just stuff from previous episodes really.
So, who's ready to cry their eyes out for Episode 5?
I'm very upset it isn't tuesday already.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I hope Max gets with Warren.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth!Which should I play first, Life is Strange or Tales from the Borderlands? The latter might take less time to download, but I think I'm probably going to need something lighthearted...
Of course, that could always have a massive Drama Bomb dropped...
Life is Strange definitely makes my heart race faster, though, so maybe I should just bite the bullet and get it over with.
Oh God! Natural light!I know nothing about the other one, but I cannot recommend this game enough. I have loved every minute of it, and also cannot wait until Friday when I will have a chance to play it.
Both Life is Strange and Tales from the Borderlands are amazing, and they're also very different from each other.
Tales from the Borderlands is more comedic in tone, but it's still got a ton of great characters.
I'm both super upset and super excited that Life is Strange and Tales from the Borderlands are ending the same day. I'll definitely be playing Life is Strange first, though.
It was a difficult delivery, now it's growing up mean and strong.Oh geeze. I hadn't even realized I'd have to decide which to play first.
Though... yeah, definitely Life is Strange.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Perhaps I should clarify - I was referring to the finales. I've played every episode of both up to this point.
Oh God! Natural light!I gotcha. Sorry about that.
I suppose now that I'm super into Borderlands I should start playing Tales. Walking Dead S1 is free with Gold on Xbox One at the moment, in case anybody is interested. Minecraft Story Mode Ep1 is also out now.
And even after all that the only thing I care about is LIS E5 COMES OUT TOMORROW DAMN IT

Looks like I might have been right. We might be going back to not only the very first photo of the series, but the one Max considered submitting to Jefferson.
Max on a plane???
Max flying to San Francisco for the Everyday Heroes contest, perhaps?
I thought of that, but I can't figure out WHY she'd want to? My second thought was that it could be the Epilogue.
the game's out in a few countries thanks to timezones. sad, sad ending RIP: Town/Chloe
Why did I fucking click that
All right well, it feels a little premature but [starts ignoring thread until after finishing the episode]
I am not okay. Major spoilers do not highlight if you want to avoid Episode 5 spoilers
- Good god Jefferson has got to be the most disgusting villain I have seen in a long while. Also, I can't believe I didn't realize that he was voiced by the guy who did Lord Pendleton from Dishonored until this episode.
- I saw the Your Princess Is in Another Castle! coming a mile away. No way things would end that well.
- I'm still not sure how not winning the Everyday Heroes contest gets Max back in the Dark Room.
- I don't like that warning Victoria gets her killed. It's kind of impossible to figure that something like that would happen. But I guess that was the point.
- David got a scar in the fight. When I beat the game, 0% of players got him out of the fight without a scar. I liked htat scene a lot: it gave Max agency without adding in crappy combat mechanics.
- I lied to David and told him that Chloe was alive. I knew that he would be devastated if you told him the truth. Watching a stream later, I learned that not only was I right, but doing so causes David to kill Jefferson.
- I saved everyone I could from the storm.
- I told Frank the truth about Rachel. He resolved to change his life for the better.
- I let Joyce make up her mind about what to do with David. She decided to leave him.
- I hugged Warren. I was tempted to kiss him, but I liked that he wasn't a Nice Guy (TM) so I didn't want Max to give him the wrong idea about their relationship.
- The touching scene where Max tells Chloe the truth about the first alternate timeline and convinces Chloe to go along with her plan was ruined because they forgot to animate Chloe's face so she had a glazed over look the whole time.
- The nightmare sequence went on too long. I think that all it really needed was Max in the snowglobe, Max vs. Max, and the walkway of Max and Chloe's relationship.
- Oh god oh god oh god. I traveled back in time to let Chloe die, trading her life for Arcadia Bay. Don't get me wrong, it's a perfect ending and I can't imagine the alternative, but damn...
Is it on PSN right now?
oh my god the dead birds

David Bowie 1947-2016I'm emotionally compromised.
I'm also very mixed on how I feel about the ending. I think my general consensus is... while I think the ending decision was what we'd be going to from Episode 1, I don't think the episode did a great job of getting there.
The episode was really flighty. It was driven a lot more by emotions rather than rational logic and it wasn't very grounded. There's a LOT of pandering to the base in this episode too. The episode spends a lot of time just dicking around instead of getting on with the conflict and that's an issue. The 'Nightmare' sequence was REALLY not needed. Yes, we get it, Chloe and Max are really close. Thanks for the summary of the last ten hours of this game. And the really, while upsetting, kind of random Nightmare!Chloe tortures Max and the sudden stealth sequence were out of place. And the exposition dump of all the other characters mentioning their struggles felt... poorly written. Too much telling rather than showing. And it felt really... annoying since I already was thinking these things long before the episode began. That entire section just didn't bring up ANYTHING relevant. And I was getting annoyed with how many reused scenes and assets that were going on. How many more times do I need to listen to William look for his keys???
Said scene called into doubt the fates of MANY characters that the game never really readdresses in its endings.
And there are a TON of plotlines that never really got followed up on and that bugs me too. Samuel never gets a straight answer on what his deal was. Nathan never gets a conclusive ending which, while I find upsetting, I know a lot of fans looked forward to a confrontation. We got a phone call but that was never enough. Victoria doesn't get much either; She gets killed off of screen? What?
The more I process it... The more obviously rushed this episode feels. It felt really short and there aren't many conversations or moments where you walk around and talk to people or solve puzzles like the other episodes. This episode felt SIGNIFICANTLY more linear and structured compared to all of the others. The beginning with David's fight against Jefferson was GREAT and I kept going back and forth to try and get different results and I STILL don't know how to keep David from being injured. But it felt really down hill from there.
Another complaint is the lack of Chloe. I understand why she wasn't around more but... with her big speech at the end about how everyone deserves so much better and she's willing to make that sacrifice.... I didn't buy it. I think Chloe would make that speech, but I really felt like we skipped a scene or two of her character development this episode to get to that point for her.

Wow, so many spoiler tags already. Good news, I will be able to play it tonight and not have to wait until Friday like I thought :D
MAAAAN, I'm clamoring to play Episode 5! Can't wait 'til I get home.
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!
Ditto. I mean on the avoiding trailers. I will definitely be playing and finishing that episode on the 20th, sleep-deprivation-in-a-work-week-be-damned.
