There was a post on Redditthat I found really interesting. There should be a name for this kind of trope, but I can't think of one.

Here's another where the user talks about ISIS like he's a rural rough hewn Canadian—think of someone with Russell Peters' accent in this bit (NSFW):

It reminds me of the /r/explainlikeiama subreddit, where you explain things like you're someone else (Like "Explain the unwritten rules of the playground like you're a detective in a noir crime novel"). Like a cross between Pastiche and a more generalized form of Snowclones (talk about stuff in the style of a general other style, like "typical buddy cop show" or "typical action movie"), and a more specific subtrope for specific media or pop culture phenomena that is a mix of the above and Massive Memetic Crossover or something. I see this happen with TF 2, Space Jam and CD-i game quotes ("Mah boi, this dunk is what all true Barkleys strive for!") on Youtube comments.

Oh, and speaking of those "typical buddy cop show"s, is there a name for that kind of meta lampooning of media? Here's a great example.

As it says in the pinned threads above, Trope Finder is the place to go look for tropes, and YKTTW is the place to propose new ones.
