Blocking a motorcycle with only your bare arms is so dandy^note Is he even a Best!?. Also, Biker Dude revs as he speaks. They have good ears to hear what he's saying.

So Himeko and Taxi Biker Best know each other. They've a lot of catching up to do. Over some shrimp. Restaurants are quite aggressive around these parts, huh?

Wait, so NO ONE caught on that Chi-chan might have turned into an octopus and then shoved into Dandy's freezer by Ai?

Hm, that's a well-crafted orca. Not what they're looking for, though.

Nothing like shrimp-eating, race car driving shachihokos bringing two feuding prefectures together. Also, Nozomi and pals were actually a part of the mending process. Yaaay.

Something that bothers me is the two-episode act structure of this show. I have nothing against said structure, but this is a 12-Episode Anime. If each location takes two episodes, how many places can the characters actually visit? And will they just stuff all the plot in the last two eps?

Again. Lack of clear direction.

They show all of the major characters in the ED, you know

For Chi, I'm wondering how she got the other end of the counter after transforming. (I had assumed the octopus was something she left).

The Funimation broadcast dub premiered today.

The voices all match, but so far, meh. You really need to understand the history Japanese prefectures and cities in order to enjoy this show.

Hm, when Chiaya said she doesn't want the stones anymore, she really means it. She's even actively preventing the others(Ai) from easily acquiring one. Why? Also, on a good day, it'll be raining stones in Kyoto. Wonder why...

@kyun: You reminded of a comment somewhere else how this show isn't as comprehensible if you're ignorant of Japan.

This is one of my favorite shows this season.

New episode: return of octopus mode.

I have no complaints.

I love it.

I do love how the show goes out of its way to make sure nothing the girls do show any visible results — just a nudge here, and a little push there, and even then no one will know what they've managed to accomplish barring themselves. As a result they remain mob characters as far as the setting is concerned, and all the flashy stuff remains the domain of the Moza.

That said though, it looks like Chihaya's random transformations will figure into the plot after all.

Good arc. The show is really best when it's being over-the-top

OctoChi returns. And she can take people's memories too. Youse a true mystery, girl.

Momihama's awesomeness could not be contained any longer. It pays to have an all-purpose rickshaw.

Mamechiyo's mother's another powerful Rest. And silly Misa, if she wanted you to stay away from Mame, she would've said so more clearly.

Reconciliations, for Misa/Mame, and for the MomiHammers(The bad blood wasn't that serious at all).

Heh, that concert sure was the bomb! And Shu got his fun millage out of it too. And he is a superhuman version of Karma.

And the Kyoto Trip's over. And Ai still doesn't have a stone. And that was a place where stones fell like candy! She's jinxed.

Aha, there's that insane awesomeness I was waiting for. This show really needs more of it, since that seems to be what it excels at.

The buildups in this show are a bit too slow for my liking, but the energetic climaxes that occur at the end of every even numbered episode make them worth it.

One of these days, I'm going to look for a explanation that compares the culture within each Japanese prefecture and the ones featured in the show. I'm really curious about that now.
