Yeah, that is a poor description there. It needs some cleaning I think.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanBesides the complaining there is an awful lot of utterly obvious and redundant statements, like "A story can take place after specific episodes or installments of canon, or else the writer creates a new predicament." So, it can be tied to a cannon event, or not? I assume it can also take place during the day or at night too?
One issue I can see here is that this IS widely considered a lazy trope, to the extent that certain things, like Star Trek's Brave New Worlds, specifically banned its use. This means that it is likely going to drift downwards in quality again unless 1: an acknowledgment of the negative perception is in the article so as to prevent people "helping" by putting it in and 2: a gentle reminder as to The Rule Of Cautious Editing Judgement. (Who am I kidding, its going to degrade over time anyway.)
I could give it a bash if no one else wants to?

Reg Shoe here. Currently more or less unable to use site or get into my account thanks to switchover issues. I'm not bitter, just British. No, we're trying to AVOID bashing, remember?
#3 was being sarcastic.
He just points out that these kind of fic is victim to Sturgeon's Law and/or some kind of genre ghetto.
MAX POWER KILL JEEEEEEEEWWWWWYeah, this is just on of those pages that is going to slowly decay.
EDIT: Wait, hang on. I think #4 was trying to make a joke. Or didn't understand that "give it a bash" was a colloquialism for give it a try. Or thought I was making a joke...

Its a fanfiction thing. One Woobies up their fav character then the POV character comforts them at their darkest hour usually in a sexual not necessarily explicit way.
It is actually quite common.

It's a fanfiction subgenre, and it's one of the larger ones. The trick is to write the page without complaining about it. I'll take a crack at it.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickWell, it's been weeks and the page hasn't changed. Should I handle it and try to fix it? I was hoping that someone else could do it because my English level isn't that high, and I was afraid to mess up something.
IF you are concerned about possibly messing it up, do the work in a Sandbox and post a link to it here for commentary.
I toned down the description, but I admit I didn't hit the examples.

I can't be the only one who thinks this page is a mess. It's just a four paragraphs long rant about how stupid and poorly done hurt/comfort fics are, with an author's saving throw at the end about how they can "ocasinally " be done well.
The page mentions woobiefication, mary sues, intimate healing, cliches and mood dissonance within the first five lines. Then it talks about how it's an excuse for shipping, and how there is always some hand wave that explains the characters not going to the hospital instead of staying at the "comfort" part's house.
And finally, it talks about how these types of fics are just a lazy excuse to create drama without creating a believable plot, how the injured likes to chew the scenary, and how these relationships are build without explanation.
This is shameless bashing. I say this page needs major cleaning.
