Gundam Build Fighters RP: Rival Ascent

In a similar world to what we see in Gundam Build Fighters, the world tournament is coming up very soon, and now, we see the development of a new player base in America. Before, there had not been much interest, but following certain events and the triumph of Sei Iori in spectacular fashion in the World Tournament, Americans found themselves, like the Japanese, interested in this sport involving odd little plastic toys.

We find ourselves in California\'s St. Morning High School, in San Francisco, wherein the club has just been started. The competition is already fierce, between State and Local Teams, sponsored by anyone from the famous and the wealthy to State Sponsored Teams.

Hence we find ourselves the underdog team, at the present, at least until a few certain events start to piece themselves together...

• Name: Daniel Purcell
• Age: 17
• Gender: Male
• Appearance: Short, curly blond hair and dark green eyes. He stands at 5'10" and has an average build. He dresses very plainly with brown slacks and a blue denim jacket over a white shirt.
• Personality: Daniel's become solely focused with getting back into the pro circuit. Ever since his defeat at the last world tournament, he's felt frustrated with himself and believes the only way he'll ever move on is to win the tournament. Daniel keeps to himself, constantly tweaking his Gunpla and researching other Gunpla fighters.
• Bio: Daniel's parents wanted him to go to a good college. When he got into Gunpla, his parents wasted no time in finding scholarships for skilled Gunpla fighters and pressured him into competing. Daniel found that he was a prodigy and got into the world circuit, and made it all the way to the semi-finals.

However, when the battle came, he was beaten badly in a one-sided battle. Daniel felt disgusted and ashamed of himself and became introverted, secluding himself and preparing to get his dignity back.

• Play-Style: Close-up and personal. Daniel's strategy is to lure his opponent into close range, pin them down, and mercilessly rips them up with head mounted vulcan guns or dagger-like anti-armor penetrators. His aim is to end the fight as fast as possible, preferring pragmatism over showmanship.

Optional Weaponry: N/A Personal Tweaks to Armor: Brighter color scheme. Weaknesses: The firearms the Blu Duel is equipped with is completely useless at long range. Furthermore, the joints aren't as well armored as some other units, meaning it's possible that someone could shoot/slash the limbs off the Mobile Suit.

• Weaponry: 2 Hand Beam Cannons "Abrahadabra", Near Crusher, Chokyuu Haoh Den'eidan equivalent "Darkness of N'Kai", Juuni Ouhouha equivalent "Leviathan", Darkness Finger equivalent "Hyperborea Zero Drive"
• Optional Weaponry: None
• Personal Tweaks to Armor: The red on the color scheme has been changed to a darker, more wine-colored red, the ends of the fingers are painted green, and a light shade of gloss has been added to give the model a metallic sheen. The head has been customized although the wing binders remain unchanged so that the model is still clearly identifiable as a Master Gundam build. Mike has painted all sorts of weird arcane runes around the edges of the armor plates.
• Weaknesses: Extensive customization has weakened the integrity of the build — Weak armor. Below average endurance. No Sekiha Tenkyoken.

• Name: Rai Barton
• Age: 17
• Gender: Male
• Appearance: Dark Black pants and a Black uniform jacket undone, white undershirt, coarse black hair and slightly pale skin, squared chin and bright blue eyes.
• Personality: Reserved and calm outside of battle, generally a friendly person to be around and likes to help out. On the battlefield he takes on a hammier more villainous persona to fit his use of Zeon type mobile suits.
• Bio: Rai's life outside of Gunpla building was described as fairly standard, Gunpla building however he had been interested in, a personal fan of the villain type mobile suits, always finding the designs interesting and how they really fit the villainous look. It's why Rai got into Gunpla battle, to play the role of a villain. In the previous year he made it at least past the qualifier rounds before losing a battle with his Gouf Dakka.
• Play-Style: Jack Of All Stats. Rai will field multiple drones while keeping a fair distance with his Beam rifle, and avoiding most attacks thrown at him
• Other: Tends to hold a smart phone on hand commonly or a small notebook he likes to write details in

Gundam / Mobile Suit

• Appearance: A MSN-04 Sazabi
• Specializations: Medium Range Combat Jack of all Trades
• Weaponry: 6 Funnels, 2 Beam Sabers, One Beam Rifle with underslung scatter beam gun, and two SD Sazabis acting as Mobile Bits / Mobile Dolls
• Optional Weaponry: Beam Tomahawk, Bazooka, Beam Pistols
• Personal Tweaks to Armor: Gray and Blue colour scheme, Curved armor panels, curved Funnel holders, a Transmission hoop mounted on the backpack between the Funnel Holders and the propellant tanks, Sazabi S Ds AKA Sazabi Scouts follow same colour scheme with a transmitter hoop as well.
• Weaknesses: Above Standard Mobile Suit weakness to beam weapons and sustained fire, Not 3x as Fast as original Sazabi build, probably closer to 1.5x or 2x faster, Sazabi Scouts are treated as the same mobile bits and funnels with no better programming or armor compared to other drone weaponry.

• Appearance: Olive skin, dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes. She wears white strap shirt, baggy jeans and a pair of canvas sneakers. Usually wears a pair of aviator sunglasses.
• Personality: Brash and arrogant, but not foolhardy. She carries a good head on her shoulders and knows when there's a time to fight and a time too think.
• Bio: Emily is an Albertan and the daughter of a national qualifying Build Fighter. She aspires to be just like her father, but unfortunately she's not the best builder. Even mass production models prove to be a challenge for her. It's unclear why she traveled so far just to transfer schools.
• Playstyle: Long Range/Support. In battle she can be described as resourceful and "aggressively tactful".
• Other: Really likes M&Ms.

• Name: Grace Pryce
• Age: 17
• Gender: Female
• Appearance: Long black hair combed back and dark blue eyes. Light skin tone and a slim build, standing at 5'11". She wears a button up blue jacket with white undershirt and long white skirt.
• Personality: A curious girl, Grace enjoys trying out new things. While she tries to be nice to those she meets, she can come off as sort of condescending at times. She finds Gunpla battling to be pretty enjoyable. Gets very annoyed whenever people try to do things for her or when someone implies she doesn't do anything herself.
• Bio: Born to a wealthy family, Grace was never lacking in things to do. Growing up, she went to good schools and tried out all kinds of different activities. While her parents tended to try and dote on her, she would have none of it. She wanted to do everything herself. It wasn't until recently that she had even heard of the Gunpla club and it fascinated her. On a spur of the moment she decided to join, wanting to see what all the commotion is about.
• Play-Style: She still learning, but is going with a sort of hit and run style of fighting.
• Other: Has been in a bunch of other clubs before, such as swimming, track, chess, the list goes on.

  • Specializations: Mid to Close range scrapper and anti-New Type.
  • Weaponry: Head mounted vulcan guns on the forehead, Fore-arm mounted beam tonfa, Armored Armor VN (The blocky thing that turns into a claw in Destroy Mode), Armored Armor BS (The arm mounted beam gun), and finally the New Type - Destroyer system, or NT-D.
  • Optional Weaponry: Standard Build
  • Personal Tweaks to Armor: None, its a straight build at the moment.
  • Weaknesses: Relies upon getting close, so if someone can stay far away it has very few answers for that. Extended NT-D usage is a drain on energy.
