Downloaded all 4 packs, although it's being a bit weird.

Only showing 5GB in the system memory, despite the total left being accurate as if I downloaded all 4 packs. And the eshop has "redownload" for the 2 packs just downloaded, not purchased like the first 2.

Hopefully when I get the game disc it has a manager in a menu so I can see probably what's going on.

So I bumped up the spoiler thread since it won't be long before people are actually playing it in English.

So for those of you who learn some huge plot bombs once you start the game, make sure to put them on that thread instead of this one.

I plan to go to the store soon to pick up my preorder.

Never played Xenoblade, don't currently own a Wii...

But this game looks absolutely amazing. Party mechanics AND giant mechs? Very tempted to pop this on a christmas list.

I hear the combat is a little MMO-y - and would I need to have played any of the other Xenoblade games previously?

Story is completely unrelated to Xenoblade Chronicles aside from a few minor references. There are even fewer connections to the other Xeno games. You can jump in here easily.

I need some help. I got to the freight elevator in order to first enter NLA and it says it's operational, but no button prompts pop up.

Nevermind, fixed it by saving and closing the game.

Got my copy. Here's my character. I decided to roll with a female character this time.

I like the streaks in her hair.

Yeah, it's a nice touch.

Recently I have been tempted to make Squall Leonhart. Not because I like the character, but because when Elma asks for your name I can just see myself inputting "Whatever."

My major issue with this game is the music can be too loud over voice overs and there's no way to turn it down I can find.

I'm about to go pick up my copy in an hour. Does anyone know if it's possible to change the aesthetics of your character after character creation?

You can change everything about your character's appearance later. Even their gender.

Wasn't Lin supposed to be 15 in the localization? Elma just said she was 13.

I do like making my own character, but it's really awkward having a silent protagonist. I definitely would've preferred my character to talk and react with everyone instead of giving the silent treatment all the time.

Awesome, that puts a lot less pressure on me to make my character perfect then.

Been playing for the past few hours. Didn't get to play it until noon though because of doctors appointments and such. Now up to the point where Tatsu joins you, and have just unlocked online Squads... Which I'm still not entirely sure how it works.

Also, didn't realize it until sometime in, but my character ended up being an accidental recreation of Shulk. lol

No, they left Lin's age as it was in the Japanese release.

Is there stealth in this game? I'm trying to pick up something for a sidequest, but a pair of sleeping level 36 Lawless Grexes keep engaging and killing me.

I've been on the character name screen for a good 15 minutes trying to think of a name.

If they're vision types then don't walk in front of them. If they're proximity types then just come back at various times and see if they either move or fall asleep.

Also, all of you lucky people who don't have to wait until Christmas.

I had a lot of names to choose from but I decided to Kara.

I really wish you could view the pictures posted to Miiverse in full screen.

Oh right, Miiverse names. captainclever. Should be in game in about two hours, give or take.
