why not have Sia infiltrate the gang lord as a slave girl for some reason of her own (steal a holocron out of his vault?), they got along and then when the bantha-poodoo hit the ventilator...*lightsaber sound*
So they just coincidentally happen to hit the same target at the same time, and even though they don't really remember each other afterwards (at least not until everyone's been rounded up), they're still tagged by the authorities as "associates".
@Kyler Thatch: Selth could have been a former patient, injured during the Jedi Civil War, though it would probably require her hiding Selth from some Jedi
