"WE DID IT!" Halle exclaimed. She grabbed Maren into a hardcore hug, then swung her eyes around to the tower. "EXCELLENT. ONE LAST THING BEFORE WE GET THERE, THOUGH..." Halle set Maren down and planted herself on the ground, angling Zarathustra with delicate twitches and adjustments. "I NEED YOU TO LICK MY FINGER, MAREN." Halle remained as serious as always.

"I NEED TO TELL THE DIRECTION OF THE WIND BUT I DON'T WANT TO BLOW ANY MORE DUST ON EXPERIMENTAL SHOTS. THERE ARE ALMOST CERTAINLY GRIMM IN THOSE RUINS WE'LL HAVE TO DEAL WITH, BUT I NEED TO UPDATE MY TARGETING INFORMATION TO MAKE SURE I CAN HIT THEM. WILL YOU DO THE HONORS?" She extended her right hand to Maren.

"Fair enough." Tezca shrugged as they neared the temple of Grey stone. The guardian would probably reveal itself once they grabbed the Relic anyways.

Maren finds their smile fading, their Semblance not having built up enough to maintain its inertia after this quick and easy fight. To Halle, they say, "U-uh... You could always just ask me... I don't even need to lick my finger to know which way the wind is blowing." Maren points in the direction they can feel the wind blowing.

Ouch

Raggy's smile disappeared in an instant as he dodged the incoming Selene by taking a short dash forward. "Hm. To be expected a Vale wouldn't fight fair." He chuckled, more of a playful jab than an insult. "Then again, I suppose fairness is subjective on the field of combat. If such is the case, then let me hither myself!" And with that said, Remington dashed forwards, zigzagging towards the Queen with a powerful vertical slash.

"BUT IF I CAN HAVE IT ON MY FINGER I CAN DETECT IT AND KEEP TRACK OF IT IN MY..." Halle paused, and lowered her hand. "NEVER MIND. I TRUST YOU." She turned towards the ruins. "SHOULD WE GET A MOVE-ON, THEN? HOP BACK ON, THIS SETUP WE HAVE IS PRETTY GOOD."

Oof

Selene flew past Raggy and slammed into a tree, not at all enjoying the experience. "Shnhavavitch"

She peeled herself off the tree casually, clutching her head as she looked over at Alice. She rushed over and grabbed Nightrider before splitting it into armblade mode. She then dashed forward, running up a tree and falling towards Alice from above, arm blade ready to strike.

"R-right." Maren nervously returns to the bridal carry position they were in before, a slight blush on their face, nervously looking away from Halle and toward the ground in front of her.

Halle began walking again, keeping herself at a moderate pace to stay ready for any Grimm that may come their way. "WHAT'S UP?" She asked, looking down at Maren. "YOU SEE SOMETHING DOWN THERE?"

Maren's head snaps up, looking embarrassed, "N-no! It'n n-nothing."

Really, guys? A direct attack?

Alice stayed completely silent. As Raggay came at her, she raised a hand. And rocks from the ground rose up, forming a barrier between them.

Then, as Selene descended she just...stopped. Right in midair. Helpless.

"THAT'S PART OF THE WHOLE HUMAN THING, RIGHT?" Halle probed. "I DON'T HAVE A LOT OF THE IDIOSYNCRASIES HUMANS HAVE BECAUSE I WAS ORIGINALLY A SECURITY SYSTEM, SO FOR INSTANCE YOU'LL NOTICE I NEVER SAY 'LIKE' OR 'UH.' WOULD YOU FILE THAT WHOLE LOOKING AWAY THING AS PART OF YOUR KIND'S... NON-ESSENTIAL ACTIVITY, THEN? IT'S INTERESTING TO ME, AT LEAST... LET ME KNOW IF THAT BORES YOU."

"A Grimm attempted that already! A mere barrier stops not Remington and his companions!" And yet, this time Ragnaros Remington decided to use his brain somewhat more for once and backed down in one swift backstep before changing Keindahan into its rocket launcher form and firing a swarm of rockets to smash through the barrier.

Think Again Buddy

Selene smiled as she was stopped midair, and calmly pulled the trigger for the railgun, sending a shot sailing straight down at Alice.

Maren gives Halle a strange look, "What? No. The activity I was engaging in was entirely essential. It's a form of signaling to the audience of the subtext allowing more to be said with less. It allows for greater audience engagement and, through giving the audience a subtle glimpse at the emotions of the character, allows the audience to empathize more with the character, which engages them further with the story. Really, audience engagement is one of the most important parts of the story. More so than audience enjoyment, even."

Wow, nice work

Alice actually snarled at the bullets went after her, making her get out of the way, thus releasing Selene and dispelling the barrier.

She barely had time to redirect the missiles...towards Selene, because fuck you.

Why Thank You

Selene started to drop through the air, but as she fell she grabbed onto a missile, turned it around and threw it at Alice.

Onward!

You're amazing, brain.

Ya welcome.

With a taunting grin, Raggy charged forward with another mighty slash, still mindful to keep zigzagging in case Alice decides to pay more attention to him.

Halle fixed both eyes on Maren, staring at her for awhile. Her eyes whirred and clicked as they examined her, trying to think at all. "OKAY." Halle assented; she turned right back to her task and kept walking, Zarathustra ready to fight.

I hate spiders.

Scarlet glared balefully at the spider leg streaking towards her and breathed a powerful stream of fire directly at it, hopefully ruining the limb. Dammit, Vengeance. I set you to track me at the start of my damn flight. Where are you at you stupid hunk of junk?

That One Boss

Alice looked calmly at the incoming missile and Huntsman...and then stopped the missile cold. She then yanked Ragnaros off his path and made him dangle in midair, upside down.

She finally spoke. "So, Ragnaros. You're dating my niece, yes?"

Fuck the Bonus Boss

Someone's gonna get it~ Selene thought for a moment before dropping out of the air and landing on the ground with a thud. "Ow."

Grim Plz Nerf Alice

Even when at Queen's mercy, Raggy lost not his cheerful, slightly taunting attitude. "That would be correct, Your Majesty." He spoke, grinning. "It kinda happened back during our first little scuffle with Grimm, as directed by Headmaster himself." Not going out of combat just yet, he swung the blade right at Alice's side, uncaring of his precarious position.

But I feed off your pain

Alice waved, and the sword removed itself from Raggy's hand and stabbed itself into the ground. "Did you? ...Let me ask you. Are you going to hurt her?"

There was a light pressure on Raggy's throat as she said this.

Ten Questions 2.0

Remington's grin vanished as his face took on a stern - and, well, slightly pained - expression. "Do you think I will?" He spoke, calm.

You've impressed her

A pause. Then, the Queen of Vale laughed. "No. I don't think you will. I know you, Ragnaros. I know Hope. She would murder you for hurting Alexia's daughter."

She let him drop.

She nodded at a direction. South. "Go on. The temple is there. You have more challenges to face. But remember. Remember how completely I defeated you. you must learn...there is wisdom in retreat."
