Asimov and Friends

The creeps shattered easily after being frozen. A few of them had managed to get behind Halle, and a few others had jumped up to attack Maren directly.

Creeps weren't the smartest Grimm. A lot of them walked straight into the line of fire.

"Eee!" Maren shoots at the ones jumping at them.

Halle swiveled Zarathustra around to get some good hits in with her pistons, but the weapons were designed for single hard strikes, not swarm management. "FOR HERO. HERO OR HEROINE ARE OUR ONLY OPTIONS AND BOTH ARE GENDERED AND THAT SEEMS WEIRD TO ME. SHOULD WE STAY AND FIGHT OR SHOULD I KEEP UP MY PACE?"

Maren shrugs, "Hero, heroine. All the same to me." Maren glances at the Creeps, then, "A-and, we probably should fight. That's what heroines do, right?"

Nat shook her head and scoffed. "No way, Baby Doll! We need to capture this. Running away does not make for a good scene." She adjusted her camera to make sure it was capturing everything with stability, and she shot her pistols in the direction of the trees, painting everything in yellow to make it more vibrant and noticeable. "Hey! Come on out and face us!"

(Yan) Towards the Temple

Yan fell out of Johann's hands unceremoniously and stood with his umbrella as a cane. He dusted his clothes down.

"Fine. Let's go," he said.

He started walking towards the temple.

"Oh, yeah, over there... Say, want Grimm dropping us now, or...?" Quartz asked, tilting his head quizzically.

"Can you carry me?" Dian asked,

"Hm, would not be of problems, I think?"

(Johann) Towards the Temple

Johann walked with his partner in the direction of the temple, although he was beginning to get a bit annoyed at his partner's passive aggressiveness.

"Stop being so grumpy Yan, I was trying to help you get through this ya' know? Besides, isn't getting in Beacon your... I dunno, dream or something? You'll get to fight much stronger opponents than that Golliath if you get there, Look happier! You're getting closer to your purpose after all." He smiled as he kept on inspecting their way to watch for danger.

Ullioc and James

The young Deathstalker hissed in pain as its stinger impaled its abdomen, shielding itself with its claws as James' attack came spinning at it. The impact destroyed both its pincers and severely cracked the armor surrounding its face, and something resembling a shrill scream came from its mandibles. After stumbling a moment, the wounded Grimm made one last move to smack James in retaliation.

Tezca and Amy could see a gray structure in the distance. Perhaps it was the temple they were looking for?

Mint's assault slowly whittled away at the Grimm's scales, and eventually her weapon revealed the flesh underneath. Hissing in pain, the King Taijitu's white head lashed out and smacked her away before she could exploit this new weakness.

Dian smiled. "Then catch me." She stabbed the Grimm through the head and spread her arms,

Stalking Death Anyway

Ullioc replied to the Deathstalker's attempt with a shotgun blast.

Lovebirds

The two would see a Grey colored structure in the distance.

Their trip to it would be rather uneventful in comparison to the events that had shortly transpired.

Robutts

The electric spray left the Ursa Major with a sizeable hole in its chest. The Ursa Minor followed suit, also quickly perishing.

Their quickly deteriorating bodies littered the ground around the pair. Now that the conflict was over, they could see a jet black spire violently tearing its way out of the landscape. This could be none other than the temple they were supposed to be heading towards.

And they were pretty close by too, what luck!

"Of sures!" Quartz replied as he went to grab Dian before she fell out of reach and spread his wings to slow down their fall... Assuming what Dian did was enough for the bat to leave them alone, of course.

Uh-Oh.

Blinking in surprise and staggering back, James tried to parry the last-ditch attack with his blade...of course, considering he's close to it, thinking Ullioc is out cold and unaware of the shotgun blast and being close to the Deathstalker, he's probably gonna get slightly clipped by it.

Uh-oh is right

Ullioc's eyes widened. Thinking quickly, he made a punching motion in front of him, then replicated his punch twice into the back of James's knees.

It would hurt, sure, but it would make him fall to his knees and miss being hit by the shotgun blast.

"SO WE STAND AND FIGHT." Halle decided. She tilted Zarathustra downwards and painted a carpet of ice in front of her, then locked her legs. As she skid along the ice, Halle spun around so that she maintained a little backward momentum as she brought her cannons to bear on the Grimm. "SHOOT ALL OF THESE!" Halle fired a loose scattering of Dust crystals, dispersing them amongst the creatures.

Maren smiles as they begin to fire, with each shot their aim improving a bit, the interval between the shots decrease, and the smile grows wider, "Truly, we shall destroy these beasts, this day! Victory shall be ours!"

Refraining From Using That Knee Joke.

Cringing in pain and falling to the side as the pellets fly by, James tries to scramble away, wincing and wondering what the hell just happened. Oh, and getting ready to defend in case that blast isn't enough.

What Laws of Robotics?

The crystals spread like a gentle snowfall atop the Creeps, which then forced them to violently freeze solid. The macabre gallery of frozen Grimm-statues was irreparably destroyed by Maren's gunshots.

The Creeps fell easily, littering the ground with frozen shards. They would last slightly longer than usual due to being frozen solid.

As the tides of battle faded away, Halle and Maren would catch sight of a Grey structure in the distance.

I don't beleaf I can think of any more tree puns

Cursing under his breath as the tree attempted to crush him, Connor gripped Warden in both hands and thrust upwards into the roots.

Damn it, Nat.

"Of course you'd say that." groaned Lena, facepalming. She shrugged. "Eh, why not. It's over there. Big slimy thing with a core. You take point and I'll use my Semblance to get us out alive."

The princess extended Victoria again and charged in the direction of the thing.

Royal Beatdown

Alice didn't say anything. In fact, she didn't move at all. But Selene did. Selene floated and was then flung like a ragdoll towards her partner.

"OK then!" Amy said pointing at the temple. "We've found our target." she said. "Let's run." she said sprinting to the temple.

"What kind of guardian do you think is at the temple?" Tezca asked, running alongside Amy.

"I don't think there's no use trying to speculate." she said keeping up the pace. "We have no time to actual prepare or anything."
