Yes, and they will suffer for their incompetence because of that.
If there was going to be a Direct, they'd say it. There isn't one. Not for E3. There will be regular Directs throughout the year as usual for promoting most games while Sun and Moon get their own channels.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. They may have a pre-E3 Direct just like they did last year. This one:
Well, Masuda is confirmed to attend E3, so maybe TPC is doing their own thing separate from Nintendo?
And yeah, I wouldn't discount the possibility of a small pre-E3 Direct, but I also wouldn't expect a "Digital Event" with lots of game announcements on the scale of the previous three E3 events.

Yeah, I'm thinking that they're doing something before E3 to show off their other games. Possibly that Sunday/Saturday before the event.
The next Culdcept game, Culdcept Revolt for the 3DS, is getting it's own Japan only Direct on May 11th 8:30 pm JST.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."The upcoming Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem mobile games will be Free-to-Start.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."... This is the best news I've heard from Nintendo all year... I want this badly!
They've already been at this for years, have you seen all of the Pokémon movies?
I'm okay with this, depending on what they choose to adapt.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Yeah, and who they choose to direct the adapting...
Here's a translation of the full interview.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I HAVE FAITH IN YOU, NINTENDO!!
i. hear. a. sound.I'm sorry, I had too.
Wow, I can get behind this. It's about time we got a truly good Mario movie. You go Nintendo.
What do you think their first movie would be, though? I bet they would start off with Mario or Zelda to test the waters, then move on to stuff like Fire Emblem (which would rock) and Metroid depending on how they do.

"I shall not be foolish again, my dear Gwendolyn!"It's just crazy talk as of right now, but it's be awesome if we get a Nintendo Cinematic Universe out of this a la Marvel. Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo's The Avengers!

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."I'll take one F-Zero in the style of Redline, please.
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyEven better, I heard that its gonna be CGI or Anime-style Movies. Given the last time Nintendo tried live action, that would make sense.
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!I'd like to see a Star Fox movie.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!If this means a full movie in the style of the Star Fox or Kid Icarus shorts(and maybe Palutena's Smash trailer), I'm 200% behind this.
It'd be hilarious if this lead to a Nintendo/Smash Bros Cinematic Universe.
Gavan, Let's get jiggy!Maybe an anime Fire Emblem movie?
This song needs more love. They should fund that dude making a Fox in Space and just make it official.
I'm fully expecting Fire Emblem in particular to get something given how easy and widely appealing one of its stories would be to adapt to film.

What are they gonna do about the other games they've announced, like Color Splash and Sun and Moon? Are they just gonna leave people hanging until they decide to do something about them?
It's not Ogre, It's Never Ogre.
