I don’t understand why they only have 4 apps on the Nintendo Switch Online app, one of which I’ve never used (Splatoon 2).

Saw all these trailer videos uploaded by Nintendo just now, thought there was a Direct I missed or something.

The people at Pretendo found a way around the shutdown that only works for the Wii U.

That's interesting and good news for Wii U fans, interestingly according to a recent news article there's still around 23 people who still stayed online after the shutdown.

Nintendo's GDC 2024 panels from earlier this month are now available to watch for anyone interested in game design and any other technical details behind game development.

Will give them a look later, right now I'm extremely busy doing wiki stuff.

Rather odd that in WarioWare Gold, one of the facts of the Nintendo 64 item brings up the mic, which was only used in like 2-3 games (we only got "Hey You, Pikachu", which I don't think I can play anymore since the game apparently only recognizes vocal input from high-pitched children).

The rest of that game wasn't exactly fun for me either.

Found a short 40 minute documentary about the making of the Game Boy, focusing largely on the various opinions on what exactly the thing should be, and how it was at one point cancelled.

Nagging thought: has Nintendo ever made an official adaptive controller like Sony and Microsoft have done?

So apparently a Tomb Raider knock-off for the 64 was somehow saved and preserved. I'm sure it's out for download somewhere.

Nintendo will be skipping Gamescom 2024.

I think it's time to pack it up boys as it looks like Nintendo is out of business, as it states in a nintendoom article #2491 that if they skip gamescon then they fell off.

See, I was thinking that meant that Gamescom was over, because if Nintendo didn't think it was worth showing up there anymore, is there a purpose to it :p

To be fair, Nintendo has been annoyingly quiet this year. Granted, that COULD be for the system reveal, but who knows.

With E3 Gone, While I don't expect it to happen soon, Gamescom and TGS could be on their way out as well eventually.

Is that game, by any chance, named Riqa? I remember reading about it in an N64 Magazine issue two decades ago.

Probably could have led with the link instead of vague posting about it.

Looks a touch more sci-fi than is typical for Tomb Raider, so it would have at least brought something to the table to differentiate itself from Lara's games.

Reminder that Nintendo's first-party schedule is empty after Luigi's Mansion 2 HD comes out in June. Or is there something I'm forgetting?

We do know that Nintendo has at least one thing planned for 2025: Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

Nice, Indie Showcases are always a welcome sight. There are a couple indie games I'm waiting to come out on Steam, and I'm hoping that if said games are also getting Switch ports, it means that they'll have release dates as well.
