Personally, instead of it being a subtrope of Troubled, but Cute, it should also say "Compare: Troubled, but Cute", as well as mentioning that the character doesn't always have to be female, but also male as well.
Sometimes, you just can't win them all.

It says it's a subtrope of Troubled, but Cute, but nothing else in the description has to do with appearance, and Troubled, but Cute is primarily an appearance trope. The description makes it sound like the primary features of this trope are "girl is aloof and emotionally distant because of her Dark and Troubled Past", which doesn't really seem like a subset of "hot bad boy", even if the gendered-trope stuff is ignored.
