You're missing a section for weapons. Also the classes are Mesh, Light, Medium, Heavy, Fortress (there's no "Small").
I like the idea though. I had signed up for the previous power armor RP, but it never got off the ground.
What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget? Why thank you. I hope to actually get somewhere with this idea, and I fixed it up.
Huh I was looking for someone to make a new one of these, huh... count me in
The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song.Alright then just write up your signup and I'll look it over and count you on the active roster.
Right-o I will, consider this a place holder if no one posts before I do
The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song.Aaaaand character done.
- Character Build
- Name: Charles Stevens
- Age: 25
- Description/Appearance: Though he was once human, he has since fused with his suit, a black, spiky piece of hardware with hidden pockets that seems to be faceless.◊ His beam sword is hidden in his lower back, his mines are at his side, and his upper back and legs contain jets for flight.
- Character Background: A former programmer, Charles survived the fall of the colonies mostly by alternatively stealing and running like hell when whoever he was stealing from woke up. Over time, however, his skills at larceny grew. Occasionally he even slit a throat or two if his targets were particularly unpleasant people. As a man with very little conscience left, Charles seeks to use his suit for his own entertainment.

Alright that is one to the roster!
I'm interested, though I'm not going to be around much, sometimes not at all, until the 4th-5th of next month; especially after the 28th of this month. Still, I'd like to reserve a slot, if you will. I'm still figuring out what I want for the suit exactly.
@Silence: I've taken a look around, and there seems to be more up to date versions of the images you linked. Like, the first image you linked is missing costs for the revolver and tranquilizer gun; they aren't even listed as free, they just don't have costs, period. I took the liberty of uploading the versions that seem to be up to date, if you care to use them instead. (After cropping out the story parts, since they don't apply here.) Page 1.◊ Page 2.◊ (No I don't know why the second page isn't as wide; I tried to fix that, but it was adamantly stubborn about not being fixed.)

You are reading this.So wait, you're going to let people use either rule set? Personally I'd pick one or the other, as there are some discrepancies between them that could lead to a lot of confusion later on. Some of the discrepancies are rather large, in fact.
Like, in the version you found, the "variable" suit type costs 60, but lets you combine two other suit modes for free. In the one I found, "variable" costs 5, but you also have to pay for the two types you combine.
So for example, say someone wants to make a suit based on the Robotech robots that transform into jets. (Which are the image for "variable" on both versions of the rules, in fact.) Presumably this would be done with "biped" and "mount" (flight version).
Rules 1: Variable, (60) plus biped, (free) plus mount, (free) = 60.
Rules 2: Variable, (5) plus biped, (0) plus mount, (20) = 25.
Then there's the whole business with kagescorpionakki's suit, which by the rules I linked is missing a prerequisite for cyber brain, and purchased a nanite upgrade which isn't there. (Probably because in the version I linked, it basically got combined with cyber brain.)
Anyway, it's your call, but I'd still recommend choosing one rule set and sticking to it, even if it's the older one. I've got a pretty good idea for my guy but I'm still not set just yet; and now I must get going for tonight, so I'll try to get that up tomorrow.

You are reading this.If possible I might combine them. But definitely running on the first suit rules. But I look forward to your suit idea.

The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song.@Silence: Alright, I'll primarily defer to the first two images then, except for those two missing costs. Will work on the character as soon as I'm back from work later.
You are reading this.Alright thank you.
Okay, here we go.
- CHARACTER BUILD
- Name: Jerry Gian
- Age: 34
- Description/Appearance: Originally a large, Caucasian biker stereotype with short black hair and a thick beard; he's now a tall, thin, and effeminate Elven fellow with flowing blue hair and a permanent clean shave. (Much to his annoyance, as he misunderstood what he was signing up for.) He still has most of his old clothing though; leather jacket, blue jeans, biker gloves, thick boots.
- Character Background: Jerry has always been a well meaning fellow, but has also always had a bit of an anger issue; being a large and strong man as well has usually gotten him work as a bouncer. After the colony collapse, Jerry continued working as a sort of thug/bouncer, but usually for... Less than savory types. One day not long ago, a gang boss Jerry was working for went a little too far with a girl, so Jerry threw the guy through a window. He then had to flee into the desert, because as far as he knows that gang is still after him for that; which led him here.

You are reading this.- Name: Lucinda Guerrero

After being improved with progenitor she'll become more slender, athletic and strong, with an otherwordly air about her, long elven ears and the like.
- Character Background: Lucinda's profession is as her last name says. She was always reared to be a warrior, raised by an ex-soldier and community leader after the fall. She learned leadership, teamwork and fighting, spending her days training and working with the survivors and nights studying whatever information, books and data was left that may be useful. Eventually, however, her home and base of her family was raided by bandits, overcome and destroyed. Sweet. Any idea yet of when we're starting?

Name: Dominic Weber
Age:27
Description/Appearance: Dominic is a wiry, thin man of average height, with a short black hair and grayish blue eyes. Weathered and tanned by years of living in the wastes, he appears older than he actually is. Dominic wears a “uniform” consisting of various pieces of scavenged military gear.
Character Background:Dominic had always been interested in electronics and tinkering with technology. Thus an engineering career seemed like a natural choice for him. Unfortunately, the fall of the colonies was the end of such plans.
Thankfully Dominic had also cultivated an interest in firearms and survivalism, giving him a valuable set of skills to make a living with. Over the years he has developed into a seasoned warrior and has now been lured to the desert by rumors of a vault of pre-fall technology.

By the way, I have a few questions about the setting. I already wrote the character background, but I started wondering if it will make sense?
Can you give a general setting overview? What is the current state of the world? There has obviously been a huge cataclysm (namely the fall of the colonies) that caused society to collapse, but just how bad was it? How long has it been since the Fall?
Edit: Whoops. I think I accounted for the skates in body selection first, but forgot to remove it when I moved it to features.

@Brassmoon: Not sure about the setting; I just winged it.
But also, biped body type is the default body type, and thus it is free. Either you typo'd or you've still got 10 points to spend.
You are reading this.I will release a post on the general setting later when possible. But so far all characters have fit the setting pretty well.
But at most for now it is a dustbowl with the remains of civilization after a large Colony Drop with some remains of Colonies.
Edit: Time for a general back-story
The fall of the many colonies in Earth's orbit has been heavily debated. It was a time of war and Earth had been divided into even smaller alliances (such as the NAC - North American Coalition) and after a treaty ruling not to bomb each other with nukes or drone strikes, the scientists of every alliance developed armored warfare, to return the troops to the front line, but in smaller numbers thankfully with new advanced machinery. The Fortress suit for example, was designed for pure insane intimidation, a mass produced suit type capable of carrying other troops into battle and leave the enemy dumbfounded as to why it was produced.
People cite the incident as the alliances hating each other so much they found a loophole and decided to drop the colonies (neutral territories) on each other, each colony being nuclear powered and weighing more than enough to cripple if not outright destroy each other.
Escapees from the colonies claim that it wasn't that; instead it was that the Colonies suffered a catastrophic failure (A system bug, control AI went mad, faulty design) that lead to the fall. And that humanity for all of it's hatred would not just let their own people die in droves.
No one is totally clear on this (though recent evidence supports the idea of sabotage leading credence to both claims) but in the end; Many survivors do not care. It has been almost 10 years since the Colonies fell and people just want life to return to somewhat normality. Many believing the solution to their issues lie in dome like vaults buried in the sand, what few that missed the colonies.
I may tweak this. But this is a general idea.

So we were in a dystopian cyberpunk where all the nations basically hated each other, but agreed not to use WMGs in their fighting. Power armor got developed, things got nasty, then suddenly all the neutral space station colonies crashed into Earth under mysterious circumstances, leading to a Mad Max or Fallout style apocalypse.
I got that right?
Well it does answer two important questions at least. We are on Earth. (I had started to get the idea that this was maybe another planet.) And our characters would probably already know about the power armor. (I was gonna have Jerry act like it was a big surprise; now I know not to do that.)
edited 19th Dec '14 7:01:08 AM by FirockFinion
You are reading this.Well yeah kinda. I am going to leave it ambiguous if the war was fought because they hated each other, or whether something big happened. The only people who would know that now are dead or in hiding.
And yep it is on Earth. The Mars colonists are laughing at the earth survivors. And you can have surprise, the only people who got the armor was the military and all public knowledge was limited.
Incidentally this is my first Humans Are Bastards setting. Huh. Weird. Regardless I will still leave chance for humanity to improve.

CHARACTER BIO'
- Name:Gideon Wake
- Age:35
- Apperance/Physical Description:About 6'2, African-American, and well built (if noticably heavyset). Kind of like a line-backer. He sports a buzz-cut and a thick, bushy bead that obscures his neck. His default expressions is somewhat severe and disgruntles, but it's not a reliable indicator of his actual mood. Given the nature of most of the work he finds, he's usually sporting a hybrid of business casual clothing and military equipment.
- Background:: At the time of the colony disasters, he was was a Staff Sergeant in the army, with a somewhat promising career ahead of him. It wasn't the trauma of surviving the crashes that made him leave so much as the suspicious cirumstances of the event, and how manic he saw some of his superior officers acting in the time before SHTF. He didn't really have anything concrete to substantiate his fears that the accident may not have been accidental, but he chose to go with his gut and become a free agent. He's done well enough until now to keep himself out of work that's too morally questionable, but his fetters haven't always helped him out. Recently, he's been seeing what he could do to make a security force of his own, perhaps something to make the remaining human settlements safe enough to start rebuilding.
