Been re-released on Steam! Holy mother of fuck!

One of my favorite games ever made and one of the best random purchases I ever made at the Sam's Club where I would eventually work. I still own the original disc.

The Disc-One Final Dungeon castle siege was one of the coolest things I've ever saw in a video game—even with the braindead Doom engine AI. I don't care that my allies stood still unless something got in aggro range, or that they milled around in circles when something did and took potshots, I still stormed a castle and fought an army with an army of my own.

Ahh, Strife. I had (Still have the original disc, really) that game, played it a fair bit. Must have been a later release game with the patch built in, since I didn't have limited save states.

I recall last time I saw our wiki page on it, it needed some changing around. Don't remember why, specifically. I'll have to take another look at it.

Still gets me how the instruction manual claims that Reavers were super-fast and hard to shoot. They never seemed to move that fast to me. As I note on the page, no faster than Demons in the original Doom.

One of my favourite parts of the game is laying down White Phosphorous grenades on a teleport pad when Acolytes are teleporting in. The screams are music to my ears.

Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation.
