I've got a character with a scar that's due to what could be considered ritual bloodletting, however I haven't figured out the exact location of said scar. The usual place for stuff like this in fiction is the palm but as mentioned on the page for Palm Bloodletting this is kinda stupid for several reasons. Ergo, I need to come up with a spot where a cut would yield a fair amount of blood without causing too much trouble afterwards, where said cut would be easy to self-inflict, and where the resulting scar would be visible when the person in question is fully clothed. Am currently considering various spots on the back of the hand or forearm.

The pads of your fingers bleed like crazy. Have the ritual scars be in the shape of runes or "tribal scarification" to let the audience know it's not from acciedents.

Please be careful about scarification. It is VERY unpleasant to have your skin cut/sanded off unless you have some sort of anesthetic, and the healing will depend heavily on the size and depth of the scarification.

Also if you don't like blood, DO NOT GOOGLE IT.
