I could see a good argument, if one was doing a riff on Dexter's Laboratory, of making the Dee Dee analogue the main character.
Like Wander? Or Pinkie Pie? (Actually, I remember Genndy Tartakovsky saying once that Dee Dee was created first for a student short about a dancing girl, and later Dexter was created to be her opposite, a good foil.)
