The problem I have with it is that the trope is the item is very rare, while the image has items that aren't rare at all (which is why not using them is funny)
Yep, the humor comes from the fact that one guy is acting like the items are Too Awesome to Use even though they're clearly not.
I'd rather just stick with the current one. Maybe scale it up if it's not visible enough. It's important for this trope that the item is rare, and the suggestion confuses that.
Rhymes with "Protracted."I don't like the current image. Nothing in the pic itself says anything about conserving the rare item.
That is only one piece of information, which could be supplied by a caption.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. And it is supplied by the caption. Also, by the title.
But I think that's also the least important part of the trope as far as the image is concerned. Remember that this isn't an Audience Reaction trope—it's not about the way a player hoards items, it's about a specific type of item that incentivizes hoarding behavior because of how rare and valuable it is.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Yeah, in the image there are multiple of every item but that one item which only has 1.
Honestly power doesn't even matter, a single use vanity item that only works once qualifies.

The pic is really tiny though and hard to read for me. That's the only reason I don't like it.

The Sandbox is there because being on the page makes a difference.
