I would assume the idea is that you'd just want the colours of the team you support. Like buying your favourite football team's strip.

According to Seagull, OWL players have to buy their skins themselves.

lol it'd be funny if it weren't so pathetic.

Anyway, I'm not invested in the league(except that I hope that the team with XQC loses at some point), so I just used my free skin thingy on Shanghai Dragon D.Va, because red D.Va should be a thing.

The fact that Asuka D.Va hasn't made it to Overwatch is nothing short of a crime.

Well good thing I don't really care about OWL.

It is kinda shitty to charge that much for recolors though. They're just Epic skins really.

[up][up][up]That is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard.

"We're going to make a CRAP ton of skins based off of your teams so you can all look uniform during competitions!"

"Ok."

"You all need to shell out $100 each to be in uniform. These skins may be based on your teams, but you sure as hell ain't getting them for free! $600 (or more) please!"

"WTF?"

The fact that they never banned XCQ from this current OWL season says quite a lot about Blizz if you ask me.

Lol, why would they ban xQc from this season? Because he rages in his chat?

Trust me, there are a lot more shitty things about this game that shows the state of Blizzard.

[down] They should start with banning all of the throwers and trolls that intentionally snipe his stream and get away with it constantly.

If anyone doesn't know whom XCQ is or what XCQ did I'll give a rundown. XCQ was made to be the MVP of OWL or some kinda of equivalent by Blizzard (I don't remember the exact term).

XCQ is also an extremely toxic player whom streams himself false reporting Symmetra mains whom are in GM, you literally see him type in fuck you over and over again in a report for hacking. This actually got him banned, which he circumvented by playing on a smurf. He then got caught by another pro player streaming no less throwing in a GM/Top 500 match. XCQ claimed that the other guy needed to apologize for this act...

XCQ for me atleast represents exactly whats wrong with the game. That childish, toxic players can still be in the game and get lorded for it while non-toxic players suffer. XCQ has a big fanbase that acts just like him. He is just emboldening the toxicity in the game. This is the manchild that is one of the representatives of OWL.

Sinatra is also a major toxic player and he is known for it and he is also in OWL. Another OWL player on one of the other teams told someone to kill themselves which as far as I am concerned is a line you shouldn't cross (I have met many depressed and suicidal individuals that despite that were still good people that don't deserve what they got).

One of the reasons I'll never support OWL is because Blizzard has their heads to far up their asses to really do anything worthwhile with the toxicity in this game and will even prop up toxic players. I know that getting all of the toxicity out is near impossible but Blizzard at many points has had chances to cut it down via making examples out of well known ones and have never taken it. The only player I recall that got cut down for toxic behavior had to get cut by his own team. I am forgetting his name atm.

Blizzard can certainly make a great game but they do a shit job supporting it.

Something from its very core still disturbs me to this day.

Why is it that people like to view more on negativity, yet positivity gets ignored? I looked around that XQC stuff, and I got one line that intrigued me from his detractor: "You sacrificed positivity for viewership."

... How is it that positivity cannot breed viewership? I believe we'll be stuck this way until we find a way to pass 'positivity' as the newest 'cool and trendy' thing.

You know, I've heard that slung at every online game I've ever played; Overwatch, League of Legends, Secret World. Um, while I'm not going to question the validity of the concerns (toxic players, etc), what game IS well supported?

[up][up][up] Honestly there isn't any game that's going to have a magical police force that can bring down the banhammer efficiently on toxic players.

[up][up][up]I've seen some online personas that are by far witty and well loved, but always keeps the image of positivity and never attempts to be excessively rude to others. So he's positive, yet also famous... in his field.

But he doesn't dabble in Overwatch, so I believe he wouldn't count. Plus the guy actively said he doesn't give any **** about tier list or meta anyway.

He DID dabble in LOL though. But just a bit.

Dafran was his name yeah.

[up][up][up]From what I have seen some of the positive players in the higher ranks get treated really badly especially if they are playing an off-meta hero. Their is several Symmetra mains that get assholes that intentionally false report them, pick Symmetra and then throw the games, or do other toxic things like lie about them being toxic and the like.

It's so bad I have heard many off meta players have flat-out quit playing their favorite heroes or the game. If their is good examples of non-toxic players in the higher ranks I haven't seen very many. The only ones I can think of is Stanky whom is a Lucio one-trick (I don't think he does much nowadays though) and Worst Sombra whom is a Sombra main (not one-trick, he plays other heroes on one account).

My point was them not taking much action agiasnt high-profile toxic players just emboldens the rest to continue the toxicity and ruining matches for others.

.... Thank God I never once touched any forms of Ranked Match in team-based games like that.

So yeah, Dark Destruction, if you wonder why back when we OW'd together I refuse to do Ranked Match, that's the reason. I don't want to be tied down by the evil worshipped meta.

Waiting for the lore to come while playing other games or doing other activities seemed more... productive these days. Though hopefully I'll be back in a short while to experience new stuffs here (haven't even touched OW again since Doomfist)

[up]x2 Fully understandable. I pretty much stopped playing ever since season 7 too (though not only due to bitterness at the toxicity, but also due to real-life obligations that taxes me just a bit too much).

Don't stop, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need-proceed, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need!
