Been reading the character profiles on the website. I literally facepalmed when they said Zenyatta's mentor was named Mondatta.
Also, goddamn it why is Tracer so cute

I assumed as much.
I'm personally curious to see how Tracer's design will play in Hots vs Overwatch.
EDIT: On the other hand, I'm now watching the actual gameplay trailer vs the cinematic trailer, and it comes off as far easier than I expected since it really is just Flash Step rather than any kind of true super-speed.

Am I the only one who thinks Phara's suit vaguely resembles Jehuty? I get that there's the ancient Egyptian influence on both sides, but still. Probably a coincidence.
Thunder, Thunder, Thunder...
Its the accent plus genki girl.
being the overly predictable fool I am I'd probably play Reaper the most cause hay close range shotguns!
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Looking at the details for winston, he almost sounds like Mr Incredible.
Then again, Pharah's body armor is almost exactly like the Varia suit except with a falcon helm
Reinhardt is a Rhino
Blizzard sure loves their references.

Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Pretty much the entire video game industy is a bunch of nerds making games out of stuff they love in the hopes others will oblige nerding it up using them and keep them afloat to keep nerding out, to varying degrees of blatant nerdiness.
The cinematic video shows a character that is similar to either PROJECT: Yasuo or Hakumen. But he's not in the gameplay?
Seeing that this is more a Moba style characters in a FPS arena
He'll probably be a new character.
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Well, I'd imagine that the group shot concept art is at least the initial cast, but since the game's not even in beta yet I think it's safe to say that the other characters aren't ready for play yet. Certainly not ready for showing off in a convention to build interest. Maybe he's buggy or his animations aren't done?
I noticed that Reaper and Widowmaker are the only expressively Villainous characters -and both are after Overwatch members-
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Still waiting for a game company to make a sniper that doesn't use the line "one shot, one kill." Please, its so friggin' lazy.
"One shot, no brain stem"?
Hey wait, Caitlyn doesn't.
You waited so long, you didn't realize it was right in front of you!

It's a reference to Warcraft. A lot of the Night Elves used that line, along with a card in Hearthstone. Blizzard games reference each other a TON.
That is true.
Yeah Caitlyn doesn't say that line
though she does say Boom headshot
also the Commando from C&C didn't say it...
he said the far better line of
THAT ONE WAS LEFTHANDED!
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Widowmaker seems like the most villianous character out of all of them. Reaper is just a wildcard....
But he is specifically hunting down former Overwatch members as noted in his bio.
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole! It also says he has no preference for sides and very little is known about him, hell how he came to be is just a theory judging by the way it's put in his bio. All they know is that his killings seem to all be former Overwatch members which is the only similarity between any his victims although I imagine there is definetly a deeper reason as to why he is targeting them.
They can release more lore and I can be completely wrong about Reaper but so far from what I have seen Reaper looks to be a wildcard while Widowmaker was someone who was unfortunately molded into a ruthless killer.

I suspect Reaper is avenging himself on the ex-Overwatch personnel because he got caught in the middle of whatever scandal it was (I suspect something black ops-related) that got Overwatch disbanded, and nobody knew or cared.
I just want to play the cowboy character if /when he ever becomes playable. And if I ever get a gaming PC. I suspect he might do something with dynamite sticks.
Thunder, Thunder, Thunder...Not with that tragic backstory of kidnapping and brainwashing she doesn't.

Symmetra is another one of the few non-Overwatch characters. I guess she's a corporate stooge who is starting to doubt the company's motives.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984I like Pharrah. Rocket launcher plus jet pack seems amazeballs.
EDIT: Pharrah, not Phara.

Her gameplay fills my head with Soldier one-liners. (albeit the similarities are more skin-deep and obviously dramatically different in practice)
Also er uh, there's just one r.

Just came across this game today (Thanks to Nerf Now, honestly) and to be frank, it looks pretty cool.
Kinda like TF 2, in a way, but with more lasers.
