I saw this the other day. It's the sort of film I could watch over again for days, then never touch again. Sort of a weird thing, but I mean it as a compliment.
John Simm is charming, Lorraine Pilkington is gorgeous and Shaun Parkes is really cool - probably one of my favorites. The movie's a bit disjointed, segueing into bit after bit, which is a bit offputting to begin with - but once you accept that, the film is a blast. My favorite scenes/bits are the news reporter dropping in the club, Jip and Koop's talk shot through a glass table as Koop cuts lines of cocaine, and Spliff Politiks.
Really, it's such a great film. Not everyone's cup of tea, and it runs a bit long, but it really is a great film. Good soundtrack, too.
Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down.I find myself returning to this film every now and then, like a once a year or so. I guess it is one of my favorites, mainly due to the soundtrack and relatable characters.. Really it's not for everyone, but I like it anyway. Favorite part has to be the Star Wars conversation dissolving into Cafe Del Mar, just beautiful.
An independent British/Irish co-production, it tells the story of a group of friends and their weekender expedition. Intoxication Ensues
Sadly, there's only one mention of this wonderful film on the site (Binge Montage) and it doesn't have it's own page.
Moff is the film's definition of Erudite Stoner. Or perhaps he's only exemplifying Higher Understanding Through Drugs
"The Emperor... wants to conquer outer space. Yoda... wants to explore inner space, and that is the fundamental difference between the good and the bad side of the force."

There is energy all around us. The energy is both yin and yang; positive energy and negative energy.
