Since there isn't a thread on it I thought I'd make one...

What do you think of it? From what I've heard, it seems to be generally considered So Okay, It's Average. Personally, I don't like it. It felt like a mixture of bad Hallmark and bad film comedy, mixed in with some Kid Com.

The twins in it attended my high school at the same time as my younger siblings. That's the extent of my experience with this film.

I've seen it. It was okay. I have no interest in seeing it again.

My siblings thought it was pretty amusing. And it was occasionally it was a source of jokes. For "Dress as a Celebrity Day", they (Shane and Brent) went as themselves, and Shane's girlfriend dressed up as him. Then there was the Christmas party prank. Shane was late for the high school Christmas party, so the others decided as a joke he'd take a gift last during the "white elephant", and we were going to give him a copy of Cheaper by the Dozen. Halfway through the "white elephant" he figured out why we were all avoiding one particular gift and tried to get out of it by stealing someone else's. The others responded by stealing everyone's gift one at a time so once again he'd end up with nothing and have to take the DVD. Also, only the cover was Cheaper By the Dozen. The DVD inside was the Justin Bieber movie.

I remembering liking this movie when I was younger. And the sequel, for that matter. Not sure how well it holds up, though.

Oh God! Natural light!

I thought it was okay. On the other hand, I thought the sequel kind of sucked.

One of the problems with the sequel is that it went with the "family vacation" storyline, which I personally find lame. I haven't seen it entirely, but can tell that it didn't give enough conflict, characterization, or even storyline. The first film has enough to make it interesting, even if it felt rather rushed at times and didn't have a great ending, seeing they're still living in the house they hate, which, personally, I was bothered we didn't see more of in the sequel.

My grandmother and I saw this in theaters when it was released. We didn't seem to hate it. On a side note, I got my mother the book the film was based on, and it was a tie-in to the movie.

I only saw the first movie. Thought it was fairly...meh. Couldn't really bring myself to like any of the characters (especially the girl that wore the frog hat who was the epitome of "bitchy sister that no one likes").
