Edward is a good choice for this image but we can definitely use a better image.

Opened. I think that 1.2 might be an improvement.

I think 1.1 shows the limb most clearly, but I do like the subtitle in the current image.

I prefer 1.1. It's the most clear with the best focus on the actual arm.

I would think memers first pic works best, the arm fills most of the picture and the higher level of detail and light variance compared to the rest of Ed draws the eye to the arm itself.

Are you guys referring to this suggestion◊ or the resized version of 1.1? I believe the latter would be 7.2 (and it still has my vote).

There's a version with background here, if you find his cut off head annoying.

Here's that one, cropped and resized...the resized version of 1.1 has some artifacting.

Merely because there seem to be an over-abundance of male examples, may I present a female example from Nausicaa Of The Valley Of The Wind? I haven't checked if this character is included as an example on that page, but if not, I should add her.

I think that might be to easy to mistake for armor

While I take your point, and agree with it partly, a simple caption "No, that's not armour" would take care of that problem. Also, who makes armour which only covers one arm?

Unfortunately, I couldn't find a suitable scene of her showing her two mechanical legs as well.

The others are just simply better because they do not need such a caption.

13 is best and a pic shouldn't have to say that it's not armor in the caption.

Okay, I'll throw my vote in for 7.2 because the no-background version is cleaner and easier to see.

I think the background makes him blend into it more, and the arm stand out more, so I prefer that one.

13 is great. Good image and it's focused on the arm.
