"It wasn't just a puppy."
Oh, craaaaaap...
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Yes. Hence me being extremely annoyed at my stupid friend for describing it that way.
BTW, according to Den of Geek, Common IS coming back:
https://www.denofgeek.com/uk/movies/john-wick/62807/john-wick-chapter-3-parabellum-news
"Common and Ruby Rose will also be returning as assassins Cassian and Ares, both of whom took on Wick in Chapter 2 and ultimately came out worse off."
Nice.
Huh so Wick left some major scars.
I expect them to look pretty fucked up.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I assume this means that Cassian and Ares are now all-seeing and all-knowing...
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!John Wick's tribute to National Puppy Day.
Thought this was interesting
It's funny. I just realized John is in the opposite position from the last film too - in the first film his dog is killed so he goes on a Roaring Rampage of Revenge. In the sequel the shoe's on the other foot.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Speaking of Keanu Reeves...
Keanu Reeves Gave His Fellow Stranded Plane Passengers a Tour of Bakersfield in a Van
Disgusted, but not surprisedDamn that’s dope.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Not the best animation in the world, but...
A look at some of the training Keanu has been up to
Maybe since Morpheus appeared in the last film, in this film Bill Preston can show up.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.JW has a new game coming up, "John Wick Hex".
Seems to be some sort of top-down strategic shooting simulator:
"Tick-tock, Mr. Wick."
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I figured that the badge on the lapel of the Sommeliere and the keys John receives from the map guy were familiar, and it's pretty much the Nazi German bandit-warfare badge with swastikas removed.

Si Vis Pacem, Para PerkeleBizarre. I wonder where they got that prop from. Seems like the kind of thing someone found cool and wanted to put in without quite knowing the origins.
Also, the movie has opened in Rotten Tomatoes to a astounding score of 97%.
First is 87% and second is 89% so if it keeps that up, we might have one Hell of a movie.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Wow, it got here super quickly.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy. It seems to have parked itself at 98% for now. It may fall a little when it actually opens, but I imagine it'll stay within the 90% range.
Also here is the crossover we deserve:
I have a theory about the gold coins as far as what their value. I'd say they're worth their weight in real world money. Or as much as each individual in a transaction considers them worth. John can throw down a full twelve coins for "dinner reservations" on Viggo's 12-man hit squad in the first movie, since he absolutely can NOT be bothered with that nonsense, but he offers Harry (who appears to be a "down on his luck" guy) a single coin to babysit Miss Perkins until the Continental comes to collect.
And to go even further, I'd theorize that a cut of every transaction made with the gold coins goes to the Continental as taxes. It's a good way to avoid government taxes since gold doesn't get taxed in most countries. And lucrative for the Continental, since they're the ones who put the coins into circulation, as evidenced by Winston's introductory scene in the second movie.
The cold never bothered me anywayI'm back.
My God, Chapter 3 is Holy Shit Quotient up to eleven. Absolutely insane. I don't know if it is better than Chapter 2, but it is close. Sofia absolutely steals the show whenever she's on-screen, but there are so many amazing characters! The Abjudicator, Zero, The Director. These films continue the tradition of elevating action cinema to high art.
The film's title, Parabellum, is very interesting in that Chapter 3 is basically a set-up for a twilight of the old gods in Chapter 4. The High Table's reckoning.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I am firmly convinced that Winston was in on John faking his death. If that's how it turns out, that would be consistent with Winston's prior bending of old underworld taboos in earlier films, like when he provided John the location of Viggo's helipad.
The cold never bothered me anywayI'm certain Winston very deliberately shot John in non-lethal places. Though he knows John won't know that. Baba Yaga indeed...
This film was amazing. Best of the 3 so far.
The Raid guys seem to be turning up in more and more films lately and I love it. Mad Dog and the Assassin squaring off against John, and both surviving? Amazing.
Then you've got Charon finally kicking ass, a female version of Wick, more ludicrous weapons (books, horses!) and more incredible choreography.
One weird thing...no Ares! Thought she was back, but if so, it was cut.
I think Winston shooting John is essentially him calling back to his chat with John about how he'd rather die at the hands of a friend than an enemy. He realized there is really no way he can win a protracted war against the High Table, so he elected to make a enemy out of John Wick and die with his boots on by his hand. He figures he probably isn't making out no matter what, but between dying at the hands of the High Table and at the hands of John Wick, he just chose the most dignified death that he can: at the hands of his old friend.
As for Cassian and Ares, I'm getting the sense they'll be Back for the Finale in Chapter 4. The King is going to need all the help he can get if he wants to take on the High Table, so I figure Cassian and Ares might return as allies of his uprising alongside The Director (with her maimed hands) and maybe Sofia.
Also, interesting note here: The headliner for the theater the Ruska Roma are operating from shows "A Tale of Two Wolves" (presumably the ballet the Director is seen rehearsing). That's the name of a (usually said to be Native American) folk tale about an old man explaining the duality in the soul of man by saying there are two wolves fighting within him, and the one he feeds will win. Besides suiting John Wick's dog motifs, it's also more or less directly echoed by Winston later when he's talking to John about his two personas (loving husband John and terrifying hitman Baba Yaga), likewise at war and he has to decide which he's going to feed.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I saw it.
Awesome movie but some people brought their toddlers & babies to the movie for some reason so all throughout you coul constantly hear them crying & shit.
It was very annoying.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I'm actually interested in trying out the Wick films. The style looks awesome.
But I kinda gotta ask. How are the villains in these movies?

Kaze ni Nare!
That description isn't even accurate (Continental isn't a school for Assassins. It's a resource network).
Also: Yes, that is Mark Dascascos, the CHAIRMAN of Iron Chef America. He's apparently played a character named Zero, one of the main assassins after John Wick.
Wick is just fighting a very colorful collection of people here, including Ser Bronn of the Blackwater, Tiger Chen, Mad Dog, Adrian Pimento, The Penguin and Shingen Yashida.
