I know FMA is regarded well in these aspects, but I personally didn't enjoy her female characters that much. To me it felt like Arakawa had ideas of what not to do with female characters and intentionally avoided those pitfalls but the resulting characters didn't feel that attractive. Again, it kind of falls into the realm of personal taste.
Ochako is weird; there's nothing about her that's really unlikable, but she doesn't really stand out much either. So she's just...there, which can be worse than being a bad character to some people.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Oh, damn, that retarded poll made its way here, too? And into mainstream sites like ANN? Are people this desperate for shitpost material?
It's OK if your waifu is shit man, sometimes you just got terrible taste.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.FMA has always been one of those solid stories that just wasn't my jam (hype backlash didn't help).
Anyway, Ochako's sweet, suitably homely and knows grapple fu. She's alright in my book.
@True Shadow 1 I know right? People sometimes dig up most obscure things out of the Internet but I thought ANN usually reported more "official" stuff. I bet the fact that ANN posted it made some people believe that it was a bigger thing.
The mangaka was a guy, but he apparently created Maka specifically because of the lack of actual lead characters being female.
I like how she takes initiative. Choosing a battle-hero to shadow so she can take self-defense training was rather unexpected & very smart choice on her part.
Worked out pretty well too since she was able to take down Toga pretty handily.
I always knew Soul Eater was written by guy. Though for some reason it was because of the fanservice. I don't know but the odd panty shots seen early in the series & the whole madness of boobs thing made me think that humorously enough.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Well Arakawa likes boobs too. VAVOOM!
It is indeed time we saw some action from Uraraka, since it's been a while since her memorable scene. I'm not sure if it's gonna be this arc, because there's a Chekovs Gun set up for her involving villains. Many people are speculating Toga's quirk to be some kind of Body Snatcher quirk because of the Kanji in her name, and she's got Uraraka's blood, so there's definitely something waiting for her in next villain-centric arc.
Problem is there's a chance she'll become the rescue target of the arc instead of taking an active role in it if she really does fall victim to a Body Snatcher quirk. But well, I still have enough faith in Horikoshi that he'll handle Uraraka well.
Yeah but the thing is the difference between how the fanservice is used.
Its like how early in the series when interrogating zombie-Sid Black-Star out of nowhere hikes up Tsubaki's outfit & shows her underwear in front of everyone while also giving us the audience a very close-up panty shot. It worked surprisingly on Sid who is a grown-ass man seeing a high-schooler's underwear as he confessed & Soul in a jealous fit hikes up Maka's panties too & we get another panty shot only hers didn't work cause she's not sexy enough. It got a laugh out of me the first time I read it but that was mostly cause it came so out of left-field that was the only reaction I could give off. & its like, I thought wow this is like totally written by a guy.
Also a real fucking dick move by Black-Star there. At least Soul immediately regretted & apologized & Maka beat the shit out of all of them for their crap.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."So, what do you think the story has in store for Inasa?
Obligatory fight vs Todo or Baku.
Dunno why but I don't see Deku facing him.
Probably. Thinking about it, I think it might be cool to see him beat them both at the same time. No idea how that situation would come about, but I'd like it.
I am having a hard time imagining Todo and Baku losing to any undergraduate. Especially if they teamed up on them.

Except that even if they teamed up, I doubt they'd work together. Todou is too much of a loner, and Bakugou is too much of a hothead. He could barely work with Deku. Yes, he's got massive issues with Deku, but he's not really a team player.
So I could see them getting in each others way.
One Strip! One Strip! Not to mention Baku is still salty from the sports festival.
Actually these two needmore interactions together.
I wonder if the UA kids will ever go to America. Considering the heavy influence from superhero comic books, it would be neat to see what the States look like.
Is the girl from Shiketsu suppose to be creepier than Himiko? Because she's creepier than Himiko.
Chaps out btw.

I'm pretty sure she is supposed to be creepy indeed
Probably a little creep yeah.
Glad that Urakaka didn't need to really be rescued. I think the focus on her (even if it was just a fake at the beginning) means she'll be doing something soon.
One Strip! One Strip! So, shapeshifter, huh?
Kinda hoping that her stealth 'skill' is just the help of another classmate of hers.Bit too Batmany for me.
Secret SignatureI'm just assuming she was disguised as a rock.
Magi's written by a women, as is Ao No Exorcist.
