I don't think it'd really be a subtrope, since Lethally Stupid is kind of a character trope. I Just Shot Marvin in the Face is more of an event, and doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the shooter's intelligence, just their lack of gun safety.

Not so sussed on this pic suggestion due to the I Just Shot Marvin in the Face issue.

I suppose it does have shades of I Just Shot Marvin in the Face, but I think there are a couple of reasons that it works better here. IJSMITF is a serious trope, while in Lethally Stupid, it's played for laughs. I think the image does a good job of portraying that. Second, IJSMITF happens due to poor gun safety, which is not discussed in my suggestion. It's definitely better than no image, if you ask me.
