@silverpunk: Sorry, but there's a few things you'll have to fix up before you can get accepted.

1.I suppose I should have mentioned this at the start, but in any case, all hosts of Inner Myths, not counting hosts of creatures such as centaurs, minotaurs, tengus, etc., are able to speak directly with their Inner Myth; that is, they can communicate with them within the host's own mind. All you have to do is think something, and the Inner Myth can hear it, and respond in kind.

2.And this leads into Lenny. If you still want to keep Lenny, you can, but you'll have to make a second character sheet for him, and treat him as a second character.

3.Right now, the only changes in the world are occurring in New Olympus. This means that your character's Inner Myth wouldn't start awakening until she arrived there. Perhaps the prep schools were in New Olympus?

Okay! I can get rid of Lenny (unless I can remove his personality traits, but keep his powers?), and, in that case, her prep school is very near New Olympus, and her powers begin to blossom when she visits it for the first time. She still runs away from school, though, upon the awakening of her Inner Myth. Should I resubmit an updated character sheet, or just edit the old one? Also, were there any other problems?

Inner Mythological Being: Anansi, African Spider trickster god and the god of all knowledge of stories.

Human Name: Caleb Strauss

Human Gender: Male

Human Age: 18

Appearance: 179cm tall, a runner's build, tanned skin, messy black hair and azure eyes. Caleb's outfit consists of a pair of jeans, a belt, a black hooded jacket over a brown shirt, slash-proof gloves and sneakers. Caleb also wields a pair of Ironwood eskrima sticks which he keeps in a belt holster when not in use.

Powers and Abilities:

• Item Creation: Caleb has the ability to create objects out of thin air. However, he is limited to simple weapons or objects such as knives, cable or a blank book.

• Transformation: Caleb can assume the form of other beings, with Arachnids and Humans being the easiest due to Anansi's influence.

• Spiderman- Enhanced capabilities: Caleb's strength, agility, endurance and reaction speed have increased, allowing him to move and react incredibly quickly, as well as enhancing his talent as a freerunner. He also has developed a perfect sense of balance, and the ability to stick to walls. Anansi's heritage as a spider god also grants him resistance to poisons; rather than killing Caleb, they simply upset his stomach.

• The Web of Lies- Illusions: Caleb can conjure illusions that fool the target's sense of sight and hearing.

• A Trickster's Mind- Resistance to external mental influence: As the god of tricksters and stories, Anansi knows everything about how to influence others, and can stop others trying to control the mind of his host.

• Insect Dialogue: Caleb can talk with insects and arachnids, both mortal and mythological.

• Freerunner: Caleb's personal skill. As an experienced freerunner, he is able to traverse urban environments easily.

• Tricky Brawler: Caleb is proficient in wielding his eskrima sticks, and is a competent fighter. However, why fight when you can run?

Personality of Inner Myth: Mischevious, cheerful, happy-go-lucky and cunning, Anansi can be considered the personification of "controlled mayhem". However, he possesses a kind heart that cares for humanity, especially children. Those who intentionally harm children will quickly earn the wrath of the Spider God. As the god of stories, Anansi is a master storyteller and an avid book lover. Caleb quickly learned that all he needed to do in order to calm Anansi down was to pick up a book and begin reading.

Personality of Human Being: Due to his shyness of meeting new people, Caleb can give the impression of a quiet and chilly person. However once he gets to know someone, he opens up a bit more and is more talkative, energetic and friendly. Like Anansi, he is also somewhat of a bookworm.

Background of Inner Mythological Being: Trickster god and culture hero of the Ashanti people, who is also called 'the Spider'. Created the sun and moon, and instituted the succession of night and day. He is the intermediary for the god of the sky Nyame. He brings rain to stop the forest fires and is in charge of the extent of floods. He taught man to sow grain and till the fields. His mother is Asase Ya

Background of Human Being: A native of New Olympus, Caleb grew up having a regular life. He has a good relationship with his parents, and cares greatly for his 7-year old sister. Caleb attended Athena university to study world literature and history, and it was during his 1st week there when Anansi began making himself known.

Miscellaneous: Like a spider, Caleb gets drunk upon drinking coffee or other caffeinated substances. He is also a sleepy drunk.

Love that almost everybody's getting into the Athena University thing, but at this point Meade's going to be the only person over 25! What a creep!

Athena University? Never heard of it. And Raven is 28. But considering that she's a prickly lesbian and an MMA fighter I wouldn't suggest Meade try anything.

Meade got fired after being caught having an affair with a male student…I think Caleb has more to worry about than Raven.

Caleb, Tyson, Nico, Jeremy, they all better watch out! They might fall under Mason Meade's seductive charm!

So far, we've got 7 accepted players right now, with more hopefully to come. Normally, this would be when I'd announce that the RP'll start in just a few days, but I can't do any real GM'ing until around a week from now. Let's shoot for October 26th; I should be ready and raring to go by then.

In the meantime, I'll open up a new Discussion Thread, so you can at least talk about the upcoming RP and any questions you might have while you're waiting.

Changed to a different Egyptian god. Hopefully this isn't too similar to Anansi.

• Mythological Being: Serqet
• Name: Formerly Alectus Fell, now calls himself "Khetenakhten" (Kheten for short)
• Age: Late 30s
• Appearance: Tall, muscular. Bronze skin, very short black hair. Serqet's presence has given him arresting, yellow-green eyes.
• Powers:
  • Manscorpion: Kheten may change his shape from human to giant scorpion, and anything in-between. His favored forms are that of a centaur-like creature with the lower body of a scorpion, but the torso, head, and arms of a human; and a bipedal, chitinous form with pincers in place of hands and a scorpion's tail. While in any non-human form, he has all of the abilities of a scorpion, including thick natural armor, a tremor-sense, and an impaling stinger that can inject paralytic venom.
  • Venom Bolt: A yellow-green projectile cast from Kheten's hands, pincers, or tail that envenoms any exposed flesh, causing paralysis and even death. The Venom Bolt has some kinetic force to it as well.
  • Cure: Kheten can cure poisons and remove venom inflicted from nearly any source. In addition, he can heal the physical wounds of himself and others given physical contact.
  • Forked Tongue: Though he can not summon them or learn information from them, venomous creatures will fall under Kheten's command should they be near.
  • Blessed Weapon: Kheten can summon a long-hafted Egyptian crescent axe.◊ This weapon often drips with poison.
• Skills:
  • Wetwork: A skilled assassin in his former life, Kheten knows how to wield a gun, sneak effectively, pick locks, and kill while leaving minimal evidence.
  • Intimidation: Whether its his word choice or the remorseless look in his eyes, people take Kheten's threats seriously.
• Myth Personality: Serqet seeks to restore the Egyptian faith through Kheten, who she has claimed as her servant. While she prefers not to speak or act directly through him, she is determined to strip him of his old identity, going as far as to rename him for her purposes. Despite her godly ego, she does have a caring side, and dislikes seeing others in pain. She protects the weak when she can, and has to keep Kheten on a short leash lest he take her orders the wrong way.
• Human Personality: Kheten has quickly embraced servitude, acting under Serqet's orders almost without question. He feels powerful in his new identity, and dislikes returning to his human form. Due to his background, he has no qualms about taking lives, and will do whatever is necessary to fulfill the wishes of his deity. Kheten's sense of honor is almost utterly absent, and he will take any advantage he can get.
• Background of Myth: Serqet was the goddess of healing venomous stings and bites, though she was also thought to control scorpions and other venomous creatures to do her bidding. She warded the other gods from Apep, the serpent of darkness and chaos. She is said to have taken in Isis and her infant son Horus when they were hiding from the jealous Set.
• Background of Human: Alectus Fell was a hitman before he was found by Serqet. He killed without empathy, and was paid handsomely for it, though it was rare for he and a client to ever meet face-to-face. However, despite his skill, he felt an emptiness inside. Whether this was due to the cold-blooded nature of his work, or something else entirely, he found what he was missing when he heard the goddess's voice in his mind.
  
  Once she had established herself and the power she could give him, Alectus did not even consider resisting as she began to give instruction. Her first command was to renounce his old life, and he did so without hesitation. Cutting off from his old contacts wasn't enough, however, and she demanded he take a new name to reflect his new role as her implicit servant, her new Archon. Now known as Khetenakhten, he will do his utmost to restore the Pharaonic pantheon to power.
• Equipment: Kheten has a few pistols and a rifle with suppressors. He has begun to disdain the use of these mortal weapons, however.

  *Human Name: Frederick Leonard Jones
  *Human Gender:Male
  *Human Age: 37
  *Appearance: Scruffy, unkempt and mostly unpleasant. Very large scruffy beard. Mostly torn clothes. about 6'3'' but always slouches, so appears to be much smaller. Actually quite imposing (and surprisingly handsome) if he took care of how he looked.
  *Powers and/or Abilities: Ability to cure all non-magical diseases very easily. Ability to give any non-magical disease to one target at a time. Ability to create new diseases (as he gains power towards the end of the rp). Able to slow down and lessen the effect of lesser magical diseases, and the ability to identify any disease that anyone has. Resistance to toxins also (unless they are specially designed to bypass his resistance).
  *Personality of Inner Myth: Rather grumpy,likes to grumble about things a lot. Does, however like to help out those in poverty. Hates anyone who is too greedy.
  *Personality of Human Being:Rather lonely and sad. Tries to hel p when he can, but usually comes off as a miserable loner.
  *Background of Inner Mythological Being:Li Tieguai was a mystic, and enjoyed having out of body experiences. One time, his body was cremated, leaving him bodiless and ruining his chances of getting into heaven. The best he could find was a poor, scruffy old beggar that was in terrible condition, and lame. He then became immortal, having to live in his terrible body forever.
  *Background of Human Being:Failed medical school, and after having spent most of his money on getting in, he was left with practically no money, and no job. He became very depressed, and hasn't even attempted to get a job so far. He has been living on the streets ever since.\\

Sorry, but you'll have to tone down your character's abilities. We don't want him killing off an entire squadron of beasties with the black plague without raising a finger, do we? How about limiting the ability to just one target at a time?

• Human Name: Lorenz Smith, Magixx
• Human Gender: Male (snnrrk)
• Human Age: 19
• Appearance: A somewhat sickly looking scrawny nerd, complete with pimples, greasy curly hair and thick glasses, Lorenz is not very tall, nor imposing. He has a tendence to stutter while talking. He usually wears baggy sports clothes, and a laptop. Lately, though, his facial wreck has begun to improve, and he seems a bit fitter. When he allows Circe, he can transform into her, a beauty pageant redhead with golden eyes, curvy and with a seductive voice.
• Powers and/or Abilities:
  • Master Witch: Circe's prowess with magic was second to none in her lifetime, only equalled at times by her niece Medea, and only surpassed by Hecate, the goddess of the Moon and Crossroads.Circe's charms are top grade, and she's a master at crafting potions for various purposes.However, Circe's magic is easily trumphed by the mystical root called moly.
  • Resurrection: Circe's healing magic is so strong she can bring people back from the dead. It does require time and effort, though. And the underworld deities probably hate when she does so...
  • Polymorph: Back in the day, Circe was in famous for turning all of her enemies into lowly animals and beings.If her host allows it, she can polymorph even herself into her inner form or assorted animals
  • Daughter of the Sun: Circe is the daughter of Helios, and as such, Sun based powers don't affect her as much. She can even conjure plasma fireballs for offense in a pinch.
  • Necromancy: Circe has dabbled into this aswell, taking some lessons from Hecate. She is not a big fan of it though, walking corpses are smelly, stupid and not very useful.
• Skills: As Lorenz, he is an skilled hacker and tech whiz. He can get in many restricted systems and sabotage or repair tech quite easily.
• Personality of Inner Myth: Circe is whimsical, petty and spiteful. She is rather manipulative and twisted, and just loves to mess with people and submit them to her will with trickery, honeyed words, appeal and charisma. However for all her negative traits, Circe is rather intelligent and passionate (specially towards her crush, Oddisseus), and she has a soft spot for her family. Her opinion of Olympians is neutral, herself being a daughter of a Titan, but she mostly gives her some lip service and sacrifices at times, so she can be left to her own devices. She has been known to help mortals in the struggles against gods because they're pretty much worse jerks than she is. Nowadays, she nominally sides with the changing world, as that would reinstate her life of luxury over mortals. She keeps seducing and eroding the sanity of her host in order to get full control, and then find Oddysseus, the only man who truly made her smitten.
• Personality of Human Being: Lorenz has crippled self-esteem since young. Being scrawned, smart and visually impaired has made him been the constant target of bullying, and while he's confident on his wits, intelligence and technological prowess, he can't help but feel hopeless versus the world who focuses more on the outside than the inside. He really wished for popularity, and with his inner spirit he is getting his wish to become a more appealing person fulfilled...but at a steep price. He knows he will get ultimately destroyed, but he can't help but keep caving in to Circe's whims. However, he has a secret dark side as the anonymity of the internet allow his cynicism be unleashed in the form of trolling people.
• Background of Inner Mythological Being: Circe was a goddess of magic and a Sorceress back in the Greek Myth. She usually kept to herself, turning people into animals or monsters whenever they spited her (Scylla being the most infamous), and overall living an easygoing life. However, the arrival of Oddysseus changed everything. After turning his crew into pigs, he managed to triumph her at sword point. Impressed, she was smitten by his wits and courage and bore him three sons. Well things got a little messy afterwards, and people died, so she had to resurrect some people afterwards. Whoops. Oh, and in the meantime, her little niece Medea also fumbled because of her aching heart and managed to anger the Gods. She helped her with the ritual to appease them. And then, well, the age of myths ended, and so did she. But hey, now she has a second chance to enact it again. It was fun last time.
• Background of Human Being: Lorenz is a gifted student from a working family, and at age 19, he's already making use of his self-taught tech skills to finance his own studies and make his own software devices. He's actually well known around the hacker underground and overall in the net under his alias, "Magixx". But he kept being coaxed and bullied, and even unable to get a single girl to talk to him. Things eventually changed when Circe nested inside him, whispering him sweet words, tempting him with deals. In exchange of letting her more control, she would help him get the carnal pleasure and popularity he yearned for.
• Miscellaneous: Genderbender hijinks, troll nerd and smug sorceress in one bundle, what could go wrong??

Hm. Circe here seems very powerful, especially since she could probably just end most fights by turning monsters and other enemies into toads without even a snap of her fingers. However, I think she can still work. What if Lorenz himself can only throw out fireballs and transform into Circe, and when he transforms, Circe gains the other powers that your sign-up sheet describes? In addition, it could also be that since Circe has taken up residence in Lorenz only recently, she can only manifest herself for limited periods at a time. (Which, given what the average posting rate is likely to be, will still be fairly long periods of time.) Though depending on how the relationship between Lorenz and Circe goes, those periods of time could become even longer and longer. Heck, if the RP goes on long enough, she could potentially overtake Lorenz completely, though by that time, everyone else should have increased power levels as well to balance that out. Does that sound alright with you?

Well, that's the idea. Circe is initially just a whisper on Lorenz mind which grants knowledge on how to deal with girls and other people, as well as healing and herbal remedies at first... but the price for said knowledge is steadily losing control. And initially Circe has to convince Lorenz to transform, which might involve lenghty rants with honeyed words and a random amount of Self Fanservice. Or something like that. Just think that Lorenz Inner spirit is as insistent as Kyubey or something like that.
