Eh, fair enough. But unless the watchtower knew about Anima and STILL think this was advantageous, they have a serious case of not having done their homework.
I'm guessing that's what German is there for, giving them s guy on the inside to anticipate and report on Mendoza's strategies. They may not have known about Anima before, but they do now.
What's precedent ever done for us?Episode 22. Nope. He's just there to kill Mendoza.
And Garm continues to be a dick. Nero would be proud.
I wouldn't be surprised if this was all part of Garm's plan.
Also seriously Octavia must have been knocked out briefly when Mendoza used her as a shield, because she still thinks he wouldn't dispose of her, and she even became a Horror out some desperate need to be loyal to a man who isn't as loyal to her.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Horror!Octavia looks like a rejected design for Hajime's suit.
Oh lord, please have mercy on German.
Sadly, German luck finally ran out, and in apperantly horrifying way.
Also I didn't understand why they couldn't evacuate the damn city before the battle would at least saved a couple of lives, they had a whole day to do it. I think the writers wrote themselves into a corner for the final episode with nothing bar a gigantic deus ex machina can solve the situation, I guess it will be the power of love.
This is par for the Garo course!
Epic duels in the air, giant horror, darkest hour, heroes down. It always happens.
So, 3/4ths of the main cast is now dead and there's only one guy against a gigantic-ass bare-chested Horror.
I like these odds.
Alfonso might be alive still
An entire castle just dropped on him and shattered his entire armor. Even if he's alive, he must have like 200 broken bones.
But I think GARO characters have survived worse.
I doubt any of them are dead right now. Well, minus German.
soundtrack's been out for a while. it's pretty bamf, though it was pretty hard to find.
i might upload some of it to YT since it might be a while before it gets there otherwise.
apologies for the double post but the ost's been since uploaded to YT.
And that's it for the show, overall it had a lot of potential but really wasted it and came pretty average. The setting of fighting while avoiding the inqusition never came up after the first few episodes for a generic middle ages, the character of Leon who came up as subversion of the "born hero" just had a generic redemption arc and that was the end of that. German and Ema were good characters but the former is never called on raising Leon in a way that he'd rather fight monsters then think on his responsibility and the latter had a terrible love relationship with Leon which was squicky as hell since she's old enough to be his mother. Alfonso was also a waste of character after the first season which ended in a pretty cool way for him and after that he was non existant as far as story was concerned. Lara was Mami'd and that's also unfortunate.
The villains were actually far more interesting then the main characters with Mendoza came as the good kind of chessmaster that doesn't predict the heroes in an insane way and can break people pretty easially and Octavia being a pretty badass for someone who's not from the "master race".
I'll add that the second season really suffered from fillers and that the ending was really cowardly and could had more potency if they went for a more dark conclusion then happiness and rainbows, overall was average.
That fight looked great tho.
Otherwise predictable, but still solid ending.
German's last scene was fantastic.
Not over. Still a movie and a second season coming.
That was just the second cour of the show.
Terrific series, I thought.
Man, that was some impressive villainous work by Mendoza. About the only think he did wrong was putting a couple too many points in health regen and not enough in DPS. There's something weirdly satisfying about a Mad Scientist Immortality Seeker just instantly chumping the horrific Eldritch Abomination he's summoned and stealing its power like it ain't no thing. Evil Is Not a Toy, my bony medieval ass.
What's precedent ever done for us?I really liked it. I don't get the squick factor from Ema at all, we see lots of guy is 40 girl is 20 couples in real life, so eh. Lara got stuffed contrary to past series structure, so it's a plus to me.
Can't wait to see what they do with season 2 and the movie.
Was a great ending though. Too bad Leon didn't technically end up with Ema at the end but maybe we'll see more in the next season haha.
It was a good ending to an overall good show. I heard that there'll be one extra episode coming with the BD. I hope they'll wrap things up between Leon and Ema. Alfonso's just too cute! I guess he'll hook up with that red head aristocat girl and produce a little Gaia in the next season!!
I'm an Asian, I speaks Engrish on the internetThis episode just further reinforced how much of a crappy dad German was. He was right there when Anna gave him the flames of protection with his mom always with him and didn't tell Leon anything, instead letting him spend years assuming it was flames of vengeance. And Leon becoming a monster in the past likely wouldn't have even happened.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. The ending was fantastic. That Germán scene was the best part of the finale. Considering it overshadowed a really badass fight and als one of the best 3DCG models I've seen in an anime, it proves once more that Germán is the best character in this show, rivalled only by Ema.

To be honest, that applies both ways. Mendoza and the Centre likely have a giant dose of I Know You Know I Know going on, as they both try to give themselves an edge in their big confrontation. It wouldn't be the first time in history that generals have agreed on a battlefield because it benefits them both.
What's precedent ever done for us?
