How about a "Clockwork Catholicism"? The cross as "the lever that moves the gears of the world" or some such thing.

"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."

Races, I have a lot my Antagonsitic races I picked out villain niche's and trayed to pick out a race for each one but without using Demons.

The vampire, they're often Powerful and intelligent and Charismatic. Their long lives give them a long time to learn how to best use their strengths and their weaknesses will keep them to the sidelines.

  • The Dragon: Hoggoblan: They are stronger and often military commanders good for contrasting the vampire.

  • Evil Sorcerer: illithid, not weirdo aliens that have a strange life cycle, but still mollusk people that eat brains.

  • The Brute: Ogre this is impotent In my setting they are related to Hippos. I gave them the regeneration powers that trolls sometimes have.

  • I can't believe it's not succubus: Siren. I'm making them shapeshifting winged humanoids with claws that enjoy eating hearts.

  • Raiders: Bugbear, mostly because I like Orcs and didn't want Gnolls.

  • Classy Cat-Burglar: Kitsune, what better than the trickster, shapeshifter fox yokai to be the race that loves showing off how good they can steel.

  • Spy: Dopleganer, what else would it be?

  • Conman: Leppercon, as I was making this post. I realized as much as I wanted it to be Toonki I was overlooking the obvious.

  • Mook: Goblin, I decided that they are Monotremes, so they can lay eggs and still be related to the shaggy Bugbears.

  • "Anti Navi": Puck, a mimic (nature not Dnd) Race for the Pixie that tricks fools into traps and monsters in hopes that they can use the corpse as a nest.
