We have had problems with such scripts editing too many pages at once and causeing performance issues.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThis may be an idea that we can revisit if/when we have a more robust database engine underlying the wiki. As it is, running batch scripts on wiki articles has a teriffic performance cost.
It's been on the tech wishlist for ages.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Couldn't you just ask someone to volunteer for making them instead of putting the concern in a personal backlog? I'm sure there's plenty of people who'd be willing to do this for free somewhere on the net.
I think this topic can be retired as the namespace migration nears its end. If there is still need for it, ask in Query Wishlist.

Shouldn't it be possible to create a batch script to correct all wrong name spaces for a work page. Or would that be too dangerous?
