Suggestion: Held Gaze

I was told to come here for suggesting an image change for Held Gaze. Please vote for:

I'm not exactly sure that either is a good fit, but of those, I prefer the latter.

I think they're about equal.

The current and suggestion are equal and almost the same close up, black and white shot of a glamorous romantic couple. Maybe a certain background would help but I don't know what.

Why's that your favorite?

Seems lateral to me, and therefore unworthy of a change. Please explain why you prefer the suggestion.

I like the second one better; it's obvious that the two of them are looking at each other. In the first one I thought the woman was looking past the man at first glance.

For me, you can see both of them clearly, whereas in the current I'm not crazy about the guy being so shadowed.

As another poster said, the original looks like they look past each other, almost like superimposed.

We are not getting anywhere here.

On the basis of the argument that the current could be mistaken for them looking past each other, I think the second is a slightly better example.

1.2 is a minor improvement, given that the people are more easy to see.

1.2 is slightly better, for the reasons already mentioned.

Clock is set.

Re-clocking this one; right now 1.2 vs. lateral change is just about even with 1.2 having a bit more consensus. Any other thoughts?
