Sophie shrugged. "I dunno why. I just like spending time with you. Something about you makes me want to do things that are fun! We're tight as shit, girlfriend!" Sophie interlocked her fingers with Ieria and stood up. "Ieria and I are going to go to the School Sauna! Anyone want to join us for a refreshing steam bath?"

Then the princess chimed in for Ieria. Personal Knight? Her Ieria?

"Sophie, pay attention," Rufus admonished her without looking at the girl. He was staring at Alice and thinking about knights. What was she talking about? There were so many bloody knightly orders in Vale alone, it was hard to keep track of the whole lot of them. There was the Knights In Capes, the Dodecan Order, the Royal Guard and then some.

Jack paused, walking back in. True, Ieria was the most noble and responsible..."She hasn't even gotten through one year!" Jack pointed out, before turning. "Though congrats." He told Ieria. Before turning to the Princess, "And I thought you were greviously wounded."

"You call that—?" Pius was interrupted by Alice's entrance, whereupon he quickly bowed his head at her presence.

It's only been a couple of days...she shouldn't be up and about right now. He thought of her crutches.

At the notion of his Faunus teammate becoming the heir apparent's personal Knight, the Nobel said nothing, letting the small smile on his face do all of the approving for him.

Medus leaned back a thoughtful expression on his face. He immediately ruined any veneer of deep thought with his next comment. "It feels like both Soph and Alice are hitting on my girlfriend right now. And yet I'm not too weirder out by it? Should I be more weirded out about this?"

"Huh?" Sophie turned, surprised, to Medus, and then declared. "The Princess can't get with Ieria before I do!...We can at least share..."

"Perhaps." Pius replied, amused at the thought Medus had brought up. The Nobel was just grateful the towel draped over Sophie's shoulders covered her breasts.

Ayers ground his teeth and rolled his head over at Alice. "So, ain'tchall telemaketic? Why'djall needa bodyguard?" He held a hand up at Sophie's suggestion. "I'd like to head over to them-thar baths. Arms'r'hurtin' after yest-day."

Rufus lazily turned his eyes on Sohpie, "Not what's happening."

I mean, their hasn't been a royal harem in a few hundred years.

Of course, I'd sign right up to be part of the Queen's harem, wouldn't I?

Ieria was silent for a few moments upon hearing the Princess' proposition. She stared silently at the golden envelope before reaching out for it and taking it from Alice's hands. "I will accept." She said calmly and steadily, hiding the anxiety within her masterfully. "I trust I will need to be debriefed first?" She asked, putting away the envelope.

"Dust. Ah ain't ever gettin' none o' those gigs." Noa pinched the bridge of her nose, angrily muttering as she looked on in disgust. So, the fucking snake gets an offer for Royal Knighthood. Her, the scaly little creep that already had the prestige of her family to prop her up. If she did nothing but fuck her boyfriend all day, she'd still be able to provide for him and the lizards she'd pop out by the dozen.

"Fuck. Gilt letter 'n all." She almost spat, teeth and fists clenched tightly. "Might as well throw tha roses at 'er, at this rate."

She had no safety net, not like Ieria. That damned reptile wouldn't lose anything by being an ordinary Huntress. Noa had a lot more to lose by missing out on such an opportunity. The prestige and luxury of being a Royal Knight would let her give Noiri a better life. But no, she wasn't suitable. To them, Noa was just some thug who had no aspirations beyond wealth and violence. Never considered, never even looked at.

Sure, Al might've been gutter trash like her, but there was one thing that got him picked over her: Lexi was straight.

"Dust fuckin' damn it." She just wanted to burn the whole place down, but she refrained from it just this once. There was a sort of morbid curiousity under the rage, to see how this shitty little sideshow would end up.

Alice smiled. "Well, the letter lists the rewards and duties of a Royal Knight. I can knight you right now now, but your duties begin next year, on my birthday."

She turned to Medus. "I assure you, I have no such interest. I am completely asexual. Minus that one time I'd rather forget."

"Lexi. Give me your sword. Ieria, are you ready?"

Medus leaned forward without the evil grin of someone who had gotten kissed by a princess. Instead the expression was once again thoughtful. "Actually Alice there is something else I need to discuss with you before this proceeds, I can't just have you dragging my partner off at a moment's notice if you need her. It'd put me at a distinct disadvantage working without her."

Sophie nodded at Alice. "Medus is saying that he'll be too distracted if he can't get his dick wet on a regular basis!"

Medus shook his head. "No Sophie I meant just what I said." He shot her a brief lecherous grin. "Though that is admittedly a secondary concern."

Jack rolled his eyes. "Look, Sophie, usually I'd tell you to go get laid, but I think that wouldn't change fuck all about you." He deapanned, not bothering to be respectful despite the princess less than fifteen feet away from him.

Alice nodded. "Of course. I've thought of that. I'll gladly hear what you have to say."

All this time Alexia had been focusing on her sister, but then she saw the look on her partner's face. She gave his shoulder a squeeze and whispered. "Talk later."

Remus merely sat at his table drinking a cup of coffee as he watched the events that transpired. Apparently Ieria was being made into a royal knight. "Congratulations Ieria." He said simply, mind focused on other things.

Specifically what Chelsea had said. Dinner with her parents on Sunday... The last time I met her mom she tried to attack me... I'm not sure how this is going to go... Oh boy...

Ieria gestured for all those around her to be silent, giving each and every one of them an emotionless stare before turning to the Princess. "I trust you looked at all possible applicants at this school before me? Nevertheless, I shall trust your judgement, but Medus does raise a point, we are partners after all."

Glen swung his head out of the way, just before Ai's head collided with his and retaliated by attempting to uppercut Ai.

Pius nodded and grunted in his response, a neutral expression settling back in as he stood back, drank his milk, and watched Ieria and Medus discuss the terms of the Faunus' knighthood.

"I'd also like it if my whole team was with me when we're assigned to a task, Alice." He added before being quiet again.

Sophie glared at Jack. "Yeah, you're actually right about something for once, asshat! And I have no problem at all getting laid."

Sophie thought for a moment about the Knighthood and Royalty. "I wonder if Knights get laid a lot."

"I have." replied Alice, nodding. "I considered Lady Weiss, but she is far too inexperienced, not to mention busy. Lord Scarlett is out. And Pius is out of the question." Here she gave her sister an amused smirk.

Lexi glared at her, cheeks burning. "That. Was. A. Long. Time. Ago."

Ayers raised his one hand. "'Asright! 'Malways up f'r anythang, 'na fight's always great!" He then swiveled around to Pius and grinned. "Pius, I think y'all might just be outta luck. I mean, obviously y'all're important'r hwutever, but Alice's shit takes priority, cuz she got, like, telephonesis, and prividge'n'stuff."

Ieria nodded and gave a polite bow. "If that is what you say, your highness. I had heard that Noa was eager for a position as a guard, but if your wish is for me, then so be it. That does still raise the question of my team's arrangements."
