"If what you're saying about it is true," Pius replied. "then the Arcana are definitely looking into something related to Aura, maybe even someone's in particular. But other than that, there's little else we can do aside from wait for their results while the authorities try to find it."

And that's going to bother me until they show up again. Who knows what tricks they'll have up their sleeve next time?

Pius and Alexia entered the workshop as soon as time permitted. Then he turned around to face his partner.

"So, what's this about your weapons, Alexia?"

Pius watched the game with about as much interest as he usually devoted to athletic events that had little to do with combat. That is to say, he was barely paying any attention as he ate chips and drank his preferred drink: chocolate milk. The Nobel saw no worth in a liquid that could easily affect one's judgment and intellect, let alone one with such devastating potential on the human body. If Medus was drinking any alcohol, Pius told him beforehand not to get hungover or drunk, but otherwise let his teammate be.

"Could you remind me what the appeal of this thing is?" He asked Medus. "It just seems like an excuse to smack each other around and get an explosion to occur every time someone scores a point."

Dorm White Rose

"Baxter's at the mall. Tori arranged for a girl's night out." Yun spoke up, walking into the room. "So it's just us guys that are here in the dorm."

"As for what's happening…anyone have something in mind?" The sharpshooter asked, leaning by the doorframe. Grifball wasn't really his thing, and he wasn't much of a beer person either.

Living Room

"Ah hell yeah, y'all! I done had that once'r twice." Ayers nodded back at Jack. "Y'all definitely got the gud stuff. Course, y'all got'n actual, like, convenience store'n stuff, right? Kind 'f a pain t'git store-bought when there ain't much inferstucksher out in the country."

Ayers got a buzz on his Scroll and slid it open with his feet. His face stayed stony as he slid it closed, and stared straight ahead at the TV. "How about 10 Lien and a date, Jack, if'n Blue wins?"

He rotated over to Yun. "And I ain't got much ideers, unforchernetly. Tell stories about wild women'r something? Hwut'd y'all do when y'all had free time 'fore y'all wuz Hunters, anyway?"

Medus took a swig from a handle of rum he had acquired from a contact. Medus nodded at Pius. "Yes, it is. And Blue team needs to step up their hitting and explosions game up. Red teams pulling ahead. In fact this match just generally doesn't have enough hitting. A fight on the court is never going to break out at this rate."

GRIFFBALL

"That storebought shit? Pfft. No, I'm talking about the pure stuff. We brewed it the night before our annual Hunt, and before we became hounds, we drank." Jack sighed. "That is Hunting Ale."

"Ten Lien And A Date." Ayers offered, Jack turned, Eh, Ayers was certainly hot in the rugged, sexy hunk sort of way.

"Sure. Though If I win, introduce me to your boyfriend." Jack offered.

"What are we doing?" Yun asked, Jack turned, gesturing towards the Tv.

"We pray that Ozpin or Good-Bitch don't decide to come show up." he took another swig, "Usually, I'd hang out with my girlfriend Frey," He shrugged. "Though i got a good story,"

Guys Night

"No thanks," Lucas said, ignoring the explosions from the television as he continued to read. The last thing he needed was to end up disoriented due to alcohol, and he only came out here with the others because Jack had asked him to.

Living Room

Yun shrugged. "My life was pretty normal for the most part before I went to Wave. I helped out at the family business, hung out with friends, and practiced sniping in the forest."

Jack's remark did get a raised eyebrow of interest though. "Let's hear it." He said, moving closer to the group and settling on an unoccupied armchair near the couch.

These games do not have enough Caber Tossing

Glen sat in a combined state of awe and puzzlement at the spectacle before him. This "Grifball" sport, though highly entertaining, seemed unnecessarily complicated (That, and he still wasn't sure how he was watching the game). Taking a swig of his drink (a large bottle of Highland Whiskey), Glen said "I dinnae see why these bastarts dinnae just get rid o' the ball an' fight each other, that would nae change much."

Grifball Games

Ieria lay on her side, her head in Medus' lap as she idly watched the game, eating from the bowl of popcorn that was beside him. She looked up at him every now and then, whenever he said a word she didn't understand. "I just am unfamiliar with the game, I have not really watched it before."

"Unprofessionalism is expected from these people?" Pius asked in reply before returning to his food.

No wonder I never got into sports.

"Please Lucas." Jack replied to the blind Hunter, "Are you seriously thinking that you'd have more fun with crazy Carol?" Before the Hunter responded, He turned to Pius. "Of course! Griffball's known for the bloodshed." he chuckled, leaning back, and started to tell Yun his story. "Okay, so me and my mates decided that we were going to go Hunting by ourselv-" He paused, all of the players were stopped, circling around a prone figure. "Mother Fucker! Who got injured!?"

Grifball Finals

"GET THA GRIF, GET THA GRIF!"

Noa was practically chanting that like it was a magic spell. Considering the amount of violence in said sport, it was no wonder she was so enthused.

"DO YA EVEN KNOW DEFENCE? SPELLED WITH A FUCKIN' C IS WHAT IT IS, C FOR COME ON YA FUCKS, DON'T LET 'EM GET PAST THA THIRD!"

Medus took another swig. "I think, it was Donut. As per usual." He responded to Jack. He then looked down at Ieria. "Well Honestly there's not even that much to this game. Hell I don't know half the rules, Just watch it for the beatdowns. I much prefer honest fights. Boxing, wrestling, tournaments. Which is why I voted for pay-per-view."

"More like who don't wanna deal with they injries." Ayers commented, leaning forwards. He took another long drag of beer. "Uh, about that bet, Jack..." He glanced at his Scroll. "10 Lien I can manage, but I can't, uh, furnish that second half no more. 'Mkay?"

"Did they ever get that?" Jack asked Medus, before pausing as Ayers spoke. He paused, turning. "I am really, really sorry. I-I didn't mean-" He sighed, "Sorry man."

Dorm Rose

At Ayers' implied announcement, Pius' curiosity was diverted from the game.

"You alright, Ayers?" He asked, concern etched on his expression. "What happened?"

Couch time

"Not what I meant," Lucas responded to Jack. "Sitting around a screen I can't even see while everyone's yelling at it isn't exactly my idea of fun..."

Griffball

"The hell is this?" Rufus stood at the entrance to the television room, staring blankly into the room. He glanced over to said TV, "The hell is that?" He refocused on the group, "The hell are you... guys doing?"

"Gregor don't want nothing t'do with a feller hwut may die right quick's all." Ayers said with a noncommittal shrug, tugging back more beer. "I think he dint really understood hwut it meant to be a Hunter in a way that, like, got to'm, until he saw me fighting that feller with the armor." He shrugged, as always. "That's his pergorative, though, I ain't too sore'r nothing. Don't pay to be." He nodded to Jack. "'Sides, means I don't gotta pay as much on bets, provided Jack there can figger out something else to fernish fer his side'f it! Ha, right fellers?!"

Griff Ball

Ieria nodded her head as she swallowed some more popcorn. "Even so, it looks quite interesting. I believe my mother said one of my uncles plays for some team." She said as she closed her eyes and sighed. "Him and three of his brothers used to play in school."

Living room

Yun gave Ayers a solemn look. He had seen these breakups happen many times back home: the life of a hunter is a dangerous one, and for non-hunters dating Academy students, it could be a pill too bitter to swallow.

"Hey Boss. " Yun greeted Rufus with a nod. "They're watching Griffball, and I decided to chat."

Rufus's head flicked to stare at Ayers with brief interest and intent before it went back to Yun, "Griffball." He strode to stand behind the couch, beside or behind Yun, "Not really my game," He admitted. He looked down or aside to Yun, "More of a UAC fan myself."

"Not a big fan of Grifball either, but everyone's got their own taste." Yun said.

"Ten Lien, and you gotta go on a date with me." Jack replied to Ayers. "Dammit. Tucker got injured. Why don't they just boot him? He's been useless all season."

"I dinnae see why this Tucker does nae keep on fighting despite his injury, he's got all o' his limbs attached still." Said Glen in response to Jack's question "I cannae help but wonder if he does nae care about victory and the honour that comes wi' it at all."
