Probably all the brutal dictators of the world.
Also the assholes with the quintessential fear of the Hieronymus Bosch-styled hell.
in regards to the killer initially being willing to turning him self in he did mention getting back on his medication so he probably had a more clear head compared to how he was when he aimed to kill the reporter when he turned on him.
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaAfter I asked that, I considered that angle. It's the most likely one.
Ouch. The quality drop compared to last week was steep. Pure transition episode.
I have faith they can get back to the good episodes.
Decent episode this week to my mind. That last scene though. Ouch.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I'll watch it tomorrow. I can tell this is going to be fun.
That was...not what I expected. Well, okay, I expected it 30 seconds before it happened due to the framing of the scene, but I really thought it would play out differently.
Fucking spoiler tags. Anyway, in short, I still think Pierce is the Sinnerman and wants to break the bond between Chloe and Lucy.

Well, the way you folks were talking, I thought he was going to kill himself. That's the way they were making it look until we saw his face and heard him talk. That was a turn I didn't see coming, especially because of you guys.
I think that Pierce might be an angel (which isn't mutually exclusive to Julep's theories). He seemed surprised when he got shot, and later mentioned that Chloe made him "vulnerable." Sure he seemed to be speaking metaphorically, but we never did confirm whether Chloe's Anti-Magic is exclusive to Lucifer. Plus we know that the Sinnerman has to have some sort of supernatural power, instead of just supernatural knowledge, due to giving Lucifer his wings back.
The only problem is that you would assume Lucifer would recognize one of his brothers, but in season 1 Lucifer briefly thought Chloe might be an angel, so it appears that there is some way for angels to disguise themselves.
Well...that happened.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Marcus.
Mark...of.
Too bad about the Sinnnerman though. I liked the actor's work.
That explains things.
Oh man, oh man, oh man! They left so many clues to that . . . AWESOME!
"The Sinnerman killed my brother." Yes he did. Famously, in fact.
Interesting that Lucifer didn't recognize Cain beforehand. Proving once again that he doesn't tempt anyone to do anything; the first murder was all Cain. I wonder if Amenediel would recognize Cain. I'm pretty sure that Amenediel hasn't been around the precinct recently.
Decent enough episode this week, even if it was a flashback episode. The Cain reveal will be elaborated upon next week it seems.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! It all probably ties in together. I don't remember anything in this show amounting to the wrath of God yet, so it might have been foreshadowing what Cain's really there for.
It wasn't quite as brilliant as the previous "flashback episode", then again, that previous "flashback episode" was IMHO the best of the show. Still, it is nice for character building, and it both explains How We Got Here and hints at God's plan for Lucifer already being in motion what with Lucifer getting reasons to stay on Earth while he helps Chloe to become a detective and as such to be where she needs to be to meet him.
In other shows it looks like a coincidence when characters meet each other before the "season premiere" (sort of), but here you can arguably say that given the context it makes total sense.
Heck, they didn't even actually meet. Their paths intersected, and he probably just recognized her from Hottub Highschool. There was never a point in the episode where they spoke to each other.

I liked the small Author's Saving Throw this episode provides. I had been wondering how Lucifer was making deals with famous people over the centuries when he was supposed to be in Hell the entire time. The only thing I could think of was that people were contacting him somehow, but there's never been any sign that magic actually works in this universe (besides the obvious angels and demons). The idea that he was taking vacations every few decades, only for Amenadiel to pop up and take him back to Hell, explains that.
No new episode this week. Or next week. New episode on the 22nd.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Oh, Lucifer. Never change, you idiot.
He thinks he got his wings back to spoil Cain's plan to kill himself near Chloe.. Personally I think his actions with his mom were the reason for it, and he's completely missing the point. Other than that it was also a fun episode with a surfer slaying with a twist. Not that the twist is particularly well hidden, and you can see it coming a mile away if you pay attention.
Writers of 42 minutes long crime stories should really change their tune. If there is a named character who hasn't been seriously accused of murder by the 35th minute, s/he is almost certain to be the culprit. It is so secondary it does not really matter here, but it is an annoying trend.
I have no idea where the story arc is going. Pierce is probably going to end up a villain? I don't know really, no one else fits. And we still haven't seen Azrael - whose sword would be really useful right now.
I wondered about that too. Perhaps it's the really bad folks, like [POLITICAL JOKE REDACTED] that get the torture package.
