DC Comics Series Lucifer

That strikes me as even more blasphemous than making a show starring the Devil but it could be interesting.

What if Chloe is Lucifer's mom? It would explain quite a bit. As for her family that would've been around longer than five years, they're either constructs/other demons or the real Chloe Decker is being possessed. In this, Chloe knows full well what her power does to Lucifer, and is enjoying treating him like a toy.

I'm not sure about that.

I think Chloe is either granted some power by an angel if she was sick or something as a child and a miracle cured her; or like Anna in Supernatural she was an angel that ripped out her grace and fell to Earth and was born in the 9 months after she fell just without the hearing voices that is actually angels talking in Heaven.

I'm actually going for the half-angel half-human theory, which did occur in the comics. As some people have surmised, Chloe could be the show's version of Elaine Belloc.

I don't think Chloe is Lucifer's mom. He seems genuinely terrified at the prospect of her being back. I can't see them turning Chloe into the Big Bad.

I'm still going with my theory that god set all this up to make Lucifer vulnerable and teach him some humility, everything else is just a side effect

How does that work with her not thinking Lucifer is really the devil?

I have no idea. Unless she is faking ignorance.

But I'm now thinking Chloe either had her DNA altered when she was born by God because he knew Lucifer was going to eventually work with her on cases.

She could also be part angel like one of her ancestors was an angel but so many generations passed that it remained dormant in her DNA and she doesn't know about it.

We've never seen or heard of her dad so there's no telling how close to her generation that Angel could be. He might be her dad.

Considering who Lucifer is, I somehow don't think the whole Oedipus thing would squick him out. Him being afraid of his mom would affect him, but I don't think the incest angle would bother him. I don't think they'd go there considering it's Fox.

The timeline doesn't fit, though. Amenidele was guarding the gates of Hell for the past five years; she only escaped when he got stabbed and wasn't available to respond to an emergency. Unless time travel is involved, she couldn't have been/been possessing Chloe this entire time.

I think Lucifer may start toning down the "I'm the Devil" line around Chloe to try and protect her from his mother, ignorance is bliss....

Guys. It's obvious Lucifer's mom will be Ted Cruz.

I can see that. Bravo on a good casting choice. Wonder if they'll have her do a British accent or if they'll handwave it away.

Well, I mean, Lucifer isn't British himself. He just uses the accent because, uh, it's cool, I guess? But they do say that Lucifer's mom will be inhabiting a human body, so perhaps the body is a person from America and that's why no accent.

That does make sense. Then I wonder if we'll start with her coming to Earth, or if we'll just simply pick up with Lucifer looking for her.

This season's started off stronger than last season.

Good stuff. Two weeks till the next episode though.
