take into account that they seem to fight the lesser grimm.
The ones we encounter seem to fall under the category of the older intelligent ones.
Not to mention they had a robot army backing them.
Considering those grimm took out the entirety of extended Vale.

Episode 11: Oh shit, we're screwed, we might actually like definitively lose instead of just like win a fight but lose an objective or something!
Episode 12: 7 minutes of ownage followed by Cinder informing us that she totally won, really guys, you know because she said so.
If anything, that makes us bigger badasses that we can tussel with the bigger grimm.
Good to be backI will admit, I was surprised at the not-quite-hyped feeling I got in my chest when I was done with the battle scene. But still, I liked it.
And besides, our characters may not be typical students even by Beacon's standards.
Allurand and surrounding world loading, 28%...Yeah, though I'd like to have tussel with mooks, not nessecarily White Fang, but still.
Good to be backI agree with Troy here
We don't fight that many mooks
We need Dynasty Warriors levels of goons
"Gimme your pants.. and now your other pants"I was thinking more Sengoku Basara.
Good to be backI think the thing might be that we've kinda, like, seen past Monty Oum's style? Great, he delivers his content in a flashy way... but he doesn't actually deliver neat fights beyond "nutso weapon kills loads of enemies you never once thought could stand a chance anyway." It's also why we all love Chainsawbro for losing Jobber status out of goddamn nowhere—it was a cool character piece delivered in a fantastic way. With this Monty wanted to have his cake and eat it too. Can't have this feeling of "oh, we only sorta won" after 7 fucking minutes of his awesome characters doing nothing but succeed at killing Grimm, especially after a tone of actual failure and despair at the end of the last episode. So he resorts to the same shit bad anime does: he tells you exactly how you were supposed to interpret events, regardless of what is actually being shown. And in a way, this being RWBY, maybe we shoulda seen that coming?
...Hmm. That stuff should go on a post over in the actual RWBY thread; it could provoke some discussion over there. Basically, it's a nice post that contained ideas about RWBY that I hadn't considered before.
Allurand and surrounding world loading, 28%...I dunno, I guess this was a good way to get some action, but I have to agree I'm disappointed.
Good to be backOnce again I feel like the reason the battle was so easy was because of the robot army helping out.
It was supposed to seem easy because of the army there. The way Cinder and co was helping out there makes me think that they were either wanting to have the army in charge of the festivals defense because of something they have in store, or because they meant to release the grimm horde along with the white fang army on the day of the tournament but decided to change plans to accomodate the early release.
I will admit I got less of a feeling of finality than I did with the last finale, but I felt that this one was focusing more on story than awesomeness.
What is this Halloween thing you Americans speak of?

All I know about it is it ends up causing me to eat way too much candy.
Now people use it as an excuse to cosplay/dress like morons/finally wear that slutty Dora the Explorer outfit in their closet.
"I am nature's weapon. You are unfit to carry on your species, and I shall ensure that you do not do so!" - Charles Darwin, XCOM SniperI thought the most recent was slutty Elsa.
100% improvement.

Well, passing out candy was fun.
Also, I'm going to try to post, but I also have the first Quatiquestion of Beacon Ultimate! At a costume party with a monster theme, what would your character dress up as? I keep thinking that Lucas would end up in a vampire costume for some reason.
We seem to make Grimm more dangerous than the show does.
