I wonder how evil Caulder will be.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I guess they won't be dropping The Chief, then.
I hope its less evil and more fatalistically pragmatic.

Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireApril Bowlby (Drop Dead Diva, Two and Half Men) has been cast as Rita Farr/Elasti Girl http://comicbook.com/dc/2018/02/20/titans-tv-show-doom-patrol-elasti-girl-april-bowlby/
Jake Michaels also has been cast as Cliff Steele/Robotman http://comicbook.com/dc/2018/02/22/titans-jake-michaels-robotman-doom-patrol/
I'm starting to wonder if someone wanted to make a Doom Patrol series, but they couldn't get it off the ground, so they're using the Titans as a vehicle for it instead. With the exception of introducing B.B. and possibly doing something with Bumblebee, they don't usually have so much to do with the Titans.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.During the Wolfman/Perez run, there was a whole arc where the Titans tracked down the Brotherhood of Evil (and found Robotman in the bargain) and thus essentially inherited them as enemies from the Doom Patrol. As written by Wolfman, the Brotherhood seemed particularly vicious and..well...evil, appropriately enough. Wonder if we'll get to see Mento?
Not to mention that The Brain was the ultimate villain in the Teen Titans cartoon. Who was introduced there in a Doom Patrol focused episode.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireI mean, yeah. But that's different. If they're making a Teen Titans adaptation, but basing it more on what they know about the cartoon (which, to be fair, has appeared to be the case a couple times in this series), that's something different. However...
I didn't know about that plotline in the comics. It's still an isolated incident, and it still looks like they're looking to the cartoon a bit more in this case, but it's good to know there's precedent for it.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I think, actually, the Titans fought them a couple of times; thee was the initial one, then at least once more in the lead up to when they finally defeated Brother Blood (during Wolfman's tenure...I know other writers brought him back) because they'd taken refuge in Blood's nation of Zandia, which was a haven for crooks and terrorists and whatnot. Raven fought Phobia on her own, and even convinced her to reform (until, you know, other writers got hold of her, who then retconned the incident away or forgot it entirely).
Dwain Murphy (The Strain) cast as Negative Man.

It must be hard casting for a character whose face we're never going to see outside of flashbacks. Unless they change him so that he can look normal if he wants to, but the character loses something if you do that.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Kinda funny we've had the entire Doom Patrol cast but not the actual main characters.
what do you mean? The cast for the Titans has been known since last year.
Here's an interview with Ryan Potter. He talks about Beast Boy and Titans at the 8:19 mark
First looks at Starfire, Beast Boy and Raven

That's Starfire? Either she will be CGI or they will just make her like Fox's Domino. Not that I'm complaining about race but ffs Gamora's actor puts on the paint for her role.
Mileena MadnessTeagan is the only one that looks even a tiny bit like her comics counterpart.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I hope that's their "civilian" looks. That wig is just hideous.

According to this tweet, this costume will just be for the one scene for Starfire.
...we're in agreement that casting a black actress to play Starfire isn't a Race Lift right? Just wanted to make sure.
Apparently bodypaint is actually pretty expensive, because it takes a lot of maintenance to make it look natural. Of course, cosplayers have managed to make due, so it's clearly not impossible.
Teams of makeup artists are apparently pretty expensive too, to boot.
Plus it takes a long time to apply and a long time to remove, which is probably also a factor given that not only is tv pretty much always made on a time crunch. And it's very uncomfortable, and since a tv actor is liable to spend even more time wearing it than a movie actor that's a bit of a commitment.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Of course it's a Race Lift. Starfire isn't human.
This song needs more love.
I could see the originals. The Chief, Elasti-Girl, Robot Man and Negative Man are usually the go to's. Bumblebee would be solid. I want Doc Magnus, but only because he would lead into the Metal Men.
If they lose one of the founders, it'll probably be the Chief.
