I had the impression that all (or almost all) Monster Arenas were places where you fought monsters while the audience was watching you from their seats. I'd say we should go by that.

I'm not entirely certain that this is the right subforum for it, but the Monster Arena page seems to have two entirely separate tropes on it.
One being an arena that has optional entry for the player.
The other being an arena wherein all the combatants are monsters.
