Police Cops Discussion Thread

Hello everyone, this is the Police Cops chat thread. Talk about your characters, ask about the rules and mechanics of the game, and make up stuff about the town and deparment your characters serve. First order of business, the name of the RP. I was thinking "Police Cops: Unique Crimes Unit" to match the thing that Law and Order does of "Name: Thing They Are", but I'm open to anything else that fits, just make sure it's a parody of a cop show to fit with the theme.

I more rhan likely won't be on today because Real Life.

If we wanted to be really silly with the name, we could have it be something like "Police Cops: C.A.P." with "CAP" standing for "Cops Are Police" or some other viable anagram that's an equally silly and nonsensical name.

POWAC, maybe? "Police Officers Who Are Cops"?

Okay, looks I need to postpone the RP for another day. Things came up that have basically wiped me out mentally. Nothing too bad but I'm taking it easy for a bit.

I can't say I have any suggestions for this apart from just naming the RP Police Corps.

This just came up, but I'm heading out of town now and not expecting to be back on until Tuesday, likely Tuesday afternoon/evening.

So wait, was the detective/robot/former movie star triumvirate an actual thing, or were we just joking around there?

I assumed you all would form up when you head out. If you want Chief can assign partners but I'm assuming a few characters already had connections?

Hi - so it looks like I do have a little time for posting - I'll go see about making one right now. Odds are I won't get another one till tomorrow, though.

Sorry about that. Looks like I might not be able to do much til tomorrow. Not exactly having the best of weeks so far.

That's okay, I know I'll still be around when you get back.

I think I'll have to shelve this. Too much stuff is happening in my life and it's to the point where I don't think I can GM this reliably. Sorry to everyone involved but maybe later on down the line I could try this again.

No worries, these things happen. Thanks for actually letting us know, though. It's far better than the typical thing that I've seen too much of, where a GM just ignores a game for a month and pretends it doesn't exist, finally succumbing to the pressure and making an excuse that they were 'too busy' to even bother writing three sentences.

So yeah, if you ever get enough free time to do another one of these, I'm down for it.
