I agree, and the balance of inbounds is far in favor of the latter; I'd be fine with merging them.
Yeah, merge.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanNo, don't merge these. Comedy of Remarriage is a genre well recognized outside TV Tropes. Divorce Is Temporary vaguely suggests that the divorce has to happen within the plotline (though the examples don't necessarily reflect that, perhaps since many of them are poorly written), whereas in a Comedy of Remarriage the separation happens before the start of the plot.
My two cents after reading both entries: Divorce Is Temporary is a plot element, while Comedy of Remarriage is a story centered around said plot element. To my mind, that makes Comedy of Remarriage into a subgenre (of comedy), and I think subgenres deserve their own pages. But some cleanup to make sure examples are on the right pages might be in order.
These are reasonable arguments. I'll switch to "not merge".
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanPart of the confusion between the tropes is the incomplete and poorly-written definition of Comedy of Remarriage. Of course, I was responsible for that in the first place.
Clock is set.
Clocks' up; locking for inactivity.
Comedy of Remarriage versus Divorce Is Temporary
Looks to me that former is The Same But More Specific, solely dealing with comedy films. Do both tropes deserve a separate existence?
