I wonder if that'll be one of your defense mechanisms.

It seems unlikely that the pigtail girl in 4 is related to the Crying Child, otherwise she would have referred to the kid as her brother. I was pretty much thinking he just as a sister we don't see since it's not that important to the story, only seeing the deconstructed Mangle toy was.

Thing or things? Couldn't really make it out but seemed there was more than one

The "Things" behind the light switch are 4 Ballerina's. It seems to me we're dealing with multiples of almost All the electronics. The only reason I say almost all is because I'm not sure if the little girl animatronic is going to have clones.

I do wonder what that switch does. Perhaps it's going to be a failsafe for your own room, which will protect you from any animatronic in your office at the time, a la the Freddy Mask in 2.

Does Scott include these teasers in the games, in a bonus section or something? I know there's a model viewer.

So I already put this in FNaF 3's Fridge Horror page, you guys let me know what you think of it:

I always wondered just why the Purple Man would go back to the abandoned and run down Freddy Fazbear's. Until it occurred to be that he went back because he was planning more murders, using the abandoned building to hide bodies or worse.

[up] That might also explain why he was dismantling them in the first place, to prep them for hiding bodies. That intent may even be what triggered the ghosts afterward

@4607 Well, I always assumed that it was to make sure that there was nothing to implicate him in the murders (i.e. destroying the evidence), but that makes a lot of sense, too.

[up] I always considered the explanation that Purple Guy was removing evidence to be somewhat suspect, considering how he was never caught and thus wouldn't need to dispose of any evidence. So after mulling on it for a while, the only logical conclusion that came to mind was that he was preparing to kill again.

Well, there's a huge difference between "he was never caught" and "there was no evidence." There might have been evidence that, for whatever reason, was just never found up to that point. Also, he didn't necessarily have any way of knowing how close or far he was from being caught. It doesn't matter if the police were far from catching him if The Purple Man didn't know that they weren't close to catching him.

The idea that he was getting ready to kill again is a fairly logical premise, but the logic behind eliminating the "destroy the evidence" theory is flawed. Both strike me as reasonable theories (and, in fact, both could be correct at the same time - no reason that he couldn't multitask).

[up] Technically, "the murderer" was caught iirc, though I think everyone agrees the one arrested was innocent and possibly framed.

@4612 Ah, but we were specifically discussing whether The Purple Man was caught by the police. And everyone agrees that the police most certainly did not catch him.

[up] That inclines me to think he was dismantling the animatronics to prepare them for use in planned killings again. No reason to dig them up and just then down to hide evidence that will likely never be found if it hasn't been already. Of course, that assumes Purple Man was thinking logically and/or there wasn't some real world occurrence the audience isn't aware of motivating him.

It also assumes that the Purple Man knew about the arrest and had reason to assume that no further investigation was pending (and the former does not automatically include the latter). It also assumes one fact that we don't know for sure - said arrest happened before the Purple Man's return to Freddy Fazbear's. I don't like eliminating a possibility based on that many assumptions.

[up] Now that'd be ironic. Get killed hiding evidence of your crimes only for someone else to take the fall anyway.

I am still wondering how in the hell nobody realized that his body was in Springtrap in the first place. I mean Phone Dude said that they found him on the second night of FNAF 3 I think and yet no one was concerned about how bad he smelled but people were concerned about how bad the other animatronics smelled?

I mean in the little extras menu you could literally see that Springtrap's feet has intestines wrapped up around it.

Although now that I think about it is a bit odd how his body was mummified instead of decaying into bones.....

[up] Well, a good explanation for it would be that it was a dream of a dying child who was tormented, and ultimately killed, by the Animatronics and the people who work there. So that any insanity like paying such low wages for unsafe work, or taking an Animatronic with a rotting body inside of it and using it in your attraction, could be explained this way. Considering the Novel (which I haven't read) and the Fifth Game kind of negate this though... It's insane incompetence to the point that everyone involved with Freddy's should probably be in jail.

..I don't know what's Canon and Non-Canon anymore.

[up][up] I've heard that after a long time a decomposing corpse stops having much of an odor.

[up] I rely largely on Game Theory to navigate the game's cannon, and even that has its faults considering the fifth game hasn't come out yet.

@4616 Well, there's plenty of evidence that it's a Crapsack World, so it would fit.

@4617 I guess it depends on just where it took place. If it was sufficiently hot and arid, then I could see The Purple Man effectively mummifying. Or maybe it's something to do with spectral powers or something. Or, to go back to the Crapsack World option, we already know from the first game alone that people notice weird fluids and bad odors on the animatronics, shrug, and say It's Probably Nothing. Ignoring the evidence of dead bodies is practically FNAF tradition.

Welcome to Circus Baby's Pizza World, where family fun and interactivity go beyond anything you've seen at those *other* pizza places! Now hiring: Late night technician. Must enjoy cramped spaces and be comfortable around active machinery. Not responsible for death or dismemberment.

I guess that explains crawling through the vents.

Interesting, so you are not a security guard this time. Instead you are a late night technician......

.......That is certainly strange now I think about it. Why would you need a late night technician?
